Guesthouse - no cleaning fee! Studio cottage in the woods

Nestled on a quiet “no thru traffic” street, this adorable cottage is on a rural 3-acre property, located down a bumpy dirt driveway back in a wooded setting. We also live on the property and our home is very close to the guesthouse. Please see photo I have included to show how close the homes are to each other.

We offer:
• a full kitchen (no microwave or dishwasher)
• full bathroom
• queen-sized memory foam mattress
• 2 memory foam pillows
• stackable washer/dryer
• a 43” television with a Roku (see more info below) and basic channels.
Wake up to sounds of nature, not your alarm clock. In the mornings, you will be greeted by a forest full of singing birds. We have seen cardinals, finches, hummingbirds, blue jays, and woodpeckers.

12 minutes from downtown Havana.
20 minutes from the Tallahassee Farmer’s Market.
24 minutes from I-10.
30 minutes from Thomasville, GA.
33 minutes from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
34 minutes from Tallahassee Airport.
35 minutes from FSU.
38 minutes from FAMU.

Please note that the cottage is studio-style. There is no wall separation between bed, living area, and kitchen.

Things to know:
The cottage is very close to our home. We take your privacy seriously and allow you to control how much interaction occurs after the key is provided to you. We want you to be comfortable!

There is a Roku available that you can log into with your passwords.

We recommend bringing sturdy shoes to wear and bug spray if you plan to spend time outside. We are located in a wooded setting and the ground is uneven with lots of tree roots. Some days you don’t need bug spray, and others you do.

For the safety of our guests, their children and their pets, we do not use insecticidal pesticides inside the cottage. I normally mop with Pinesol between guests. If you are sensitive to smells, please let me know in your booking message and I will use a product w/o fragrance.

House Rules:

Initial check-in is from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Maximum stay is limited to 15 nights.

No smoking, e-cigs, or vaping permitted in the cottage or on the property.

Animals must be declared and paid for when you book the cottage. 2 maximum. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside the cottage. No pit bulls/pit mixes.

Before you book: we are approximately 15 minutes from the closest grocery store. Recommend picking up grocery items on your way in if you are simply staying one night and have had a long day of travel. We provide k-cup coffee, tea and excellent filtered well water. Most of the time we also provide fresh chicken eggs, but chickens lay seasonally and eggs are not always available (feel free to message me prior to booking to confirm egg availability!).
