Fantastic Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was close to App State, Tweetsie, and many great hiking trails! The cabin was cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We would stay here again!

Will come again. For safety returning at night, needs better outdoor lighting at door or solar lights. Don’t trip over the rocks! Had a great time!

Great little cabin!

This is our second time staying at this property. It is so cozy and cute, just as pictured! Vanessa was very helpful with any questions we had. It is in a great location close to Boone, App State and Grandfather Mountain. I highly reccommend this property.

Mountain Getaway

The cabin was exactly as we expected. It was nice to have room for our young family of four. The patio and outdoor area was great! Our 22 month old loved pushing his dump truck in circles around the cabin! It is a lot traveling with two under two, and the third night free made the trip just a little bit longer and all the packing/unloading/adjusting worth it!

Great Mountain Cabin

Stayed here again for a family weekend. The location is great. The kids really enjoyed playing in the backyard creek, and the yard was great for games. The back porch is perfect for relaxing at all times of the day. We've visited this cabin several times and would highly recommend!

Fall in the Mountain

My wife and I travel to the area every fall, and like staying in vacation rentals. We found this home online and chose it due to the location & price. The location was excellent and home was clean and well furnished.

Our family loved staying here!

We loved this cabin. Everything was just as pictured. Beautiful, peaceful piece of property that was tucked away yet close to Boone. We were visiting or son at App State and found it to be a very convenient location. We loved the outdoor seating and the gas fireplace. Would highly recommend and are already planning to stay here again!

Great Little Cabin

Enjoyed our stay! Agree with previous reviews that it would be nice to have fewer items on the kitchen counters so you have room for your items you bring and for prepping food. But overall a very cute cabin and in a great location!

This property is in the perfect location. Absolutely peaceful. We are going to plan a girls trip in October and hope to stay here. And when we come to visit my daughter at App we also plan on staying here. Stunning.

All we expected

The cabin was very clean, and all that we had expected. There were no surprises. It is a great location for Boone and Banner Elk and local trout fishing. If one wants to get a quiet getaway, this is the place.

Wonderful White Christmas

We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful stay. There was no snow in the forecast but it snowed the night before we came in and continued to snow off and on until Christmas Day. We arrived to snow at the cabin on Saturday and left the following Thursday with snow still on the ground in places. The cabin was in a great location to enjoy all local ski resorts, activities, and dining.

Lovely Setting

A wonderful visit with friends and stayed mostly on the porch to enjoy the trees, wildlife and creek. Very comfortable beds! We enjoyed our stay. As a cottage rental owner myself, please be aware of the poor lighting when getting out of cars by the kitchen at night. The stones along the walkway are hard to see. Two of us tripped and one fell, fortunately not hurt other than a skinned shin. We enjoyed being together and visiting friends in Valle Crucis.

Beautiful cabin, poor communication

We loved our stay at the cabin called precious. It had comfy beds and it was beautifully decorated. We did have a issue with getting in contact with the manager of the property. I had to contact her for check in info the day we were arriving..we also wanted to extend our stay by one night, I sent her two emails and two text messages with no reply to this day it was very frustrating. The owners of the cabin have a beautiful place which we would love to stay again but the managing is in need of some work and will cause us to look elsewhere next time.

Bring additional light and watch your step!

So, if you enjoy a musty-smelling, damp-aired, outdated Jed Clampett home-where every corner creaks louder than Granny's rocking chair and the decor hasn't changed since oil was struck in the backyard-then this is the place for you! And that faint scent of mildew? Well, that's just the house's way of saying it's lived a full life. Ideal for anyone who loves vintage... or has a strong tolerance for questionable air quality! No seriously, I chose this house based off the wonderful reviews. But I felt like I was back in my granny’s house. Besides the kitchen, everything in this house needs updating, but that’s my opinion. Some ppl like reliving the 50’s. There are 2 other reviews that mentioned the outdoor lighting, one submitted over a year ago in 2023. Apparently the owners haven’t addressed the lighting. There is 1 light all the way at the end of the front porch that doesn’t nearly serve adequately. We wanted to enjoy the crisp night air on the porch and unless you want to sit in the pitch darkness with all the mountain critters, or light a candle, you’re out of luck. This is also a hazardous condition. We had to leave the car running with lights on to see our way into the house and the rocks at the back door are uneven and dangerous in the dark. I’m sorry, but this house wasn’t my cup of tea. Nevertheless, thank you for hosting us.

Quaint Country House

The cabin is in a great location to Boone and the High Country. If you arrive after dark, GPS will take you to the house before this one. It is very quiet and located next to a cute stream. The house is as described. Please note that the upstairs will get much warmer than downstairs. Even with the fans turned on and window opened in 50 degree weather, it never got cool enough. Lastly, the upstairs has very low height ceilings and doorways. If you are over 5'10 and don't pay attention every time, you WILL Hit your head on the doorway, at least once. The ceilings are higher but do slope over one of the bed. I would still highly recommend this place.

Great Location

The cabin was quaint as many others have described, but surprisingly roomy enough for 5 of us to enjoy comfortably. We enjoyed the gliders on the porch after the long drive in the rain and the beds were comfy. The location was great, close to all, but peaceful. I agree with another review that suggested perhaps eliminating some of the knickknacks to enable use of countertop and other surfaces on the home. Additionally, many of the fake plants are terribly dusty and caused me to mark down cleanliness. I think the home would be just as welcoming without the the plants. Also, slight smell from the gas fireplace, so we opted not to use. Overall, would stay again! Thanks!
