Cold and sunny 3 night Thanksgiving weekend stay enjoying the beauty of the forest, fantastic Ocean view in the cozy comfortable well appointed apartment.
Situated just north of Trinidad, California, this VRBO rental was perfect for my husband and I.
It is one of two rentals on the first floor of an adorable coastal home. The owners have done an excellent job of making this rental comfortable and inviting. Despite being part of a multi-unit home, we felt by like we had our own space. The view of the ocean was breathtaking! It was a less than 10 minute drive to town. We were within 45 minutes from all the major Redwood hikes we wanted to do. The kitchen had all the basic amenities. They provide several cozy blankets! There are two bedrooms- our bed in the master bedroom was very cozy. The only issue is an older shower- but it did have nice hot water.
I certainly recommend this rental to others!
My boyfriend and I went to the area to see the Redwoods and the ocean. The house was quiet, comfortable, clean, and beautiful. The porch, and view of the ocean were amazing!! We were very close to the small town of Trinidad, and we enjoyed a healthy lunch at the Beachcomber Café. We walked around the Trinidad loop and got several gorgeous photos! The first night was clear and we saw the milky way and so many stars! The owner provided a pair of binoculars. We had such an amazing trip and I didn't want to leave!!
Excellent location , beautiful property with vast ocean view. Older place with some cleaning issues. Would be nice to have a patio table on the covered porch & bedside table & lamp in the bedrooms
My only issue is that we didn't stay longer! Such an amazing view. The unit is cute and clean. Beds are comfortable. So close to the Redwood park, and close to some restaurants and Trinidad. Would absolutely stay here again!
It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Plenty of room for our family of four. The location of the property made for an ideal basecamp for enjoying the big trees of Northern CA. We especially enjoyed the sunsets in the evening while sitting on the back porch. The property was very quiet. It is also worth noting that the internet was very good - which is very important to some guests in today's world where some people can work from anywhere. Thanks to Adam for a great stay. He promptly replied to all of my questions and made the checkin experience easy.
We enjoyed this lovely property for a week and can say it fully met and exceeded our expectations. The guest area was beautiful, comfortable and practical. The view of the Pacific and the sunsets is stunning! Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a big plus for the week’s stay. I would have liked a few more table lamps, perhaps on the bed stands, as most of the lighting is overhead. But that’s a small detail and didn’t affect our overall enjoyment of the stay.
Great place to stay while visiting the redwoods. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. The house itself is just as pictured . Very clean and nicely decorated.

Venue was beautiful, the place was in need of a lot of TLC! The stove was filthy, the bathtub was rusted, the drip pans on the stove were disgustingly, dirty, the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, the louvers on the doors in the bathroom were very dirty, the blinds were dirty, they should have mentioned in the description that you needed to sweep and pull all of the linens off before you left. Dirt and debris underneath the freestanding fireplace that had been there for a long time. I always leave a place cleaner than when I left it, but in this case, I wasn’t going to clean the place before I left! I also have pictures in case you wanted to see the above issues that I mentioned.
What a great little place! It was perfect for my fiancé and I--plenty of room for the two of us. Great view of the Pacific, and beautiful light at sunset filled the room. I wish that there was beach access from the property--but from what I could tell--beach access is limited through the entire Trinidad area. We really enjoyed our stay.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Between the views, that gorgeous kitchen that overlooks the ocean and the comfortable beds, this was the perfect poace to stay as newlyweds! After long days exploring the redwoods, it was a great place to relax and eat a yummy homemade meal. Would love to visit again in the future! Adam was fantastic and promptly dropped off some yummy snickers coffee we adored! 5 stars all the way! Thank you, Adam!!
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very convenient location to the Redwood Forest, Trinidad and the other parts of the coast that we explored. The house has a private setting and exceptional views.
The property was beautiful, and the space was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to use the basketball hoop and the batting cage! We were a little surprised to learn that the family was on the property as VRBO's current campaign suggests that vacation rentals on their site are private, but we wouldn't have guessed that the family was home if we hadn't been told. We were only worried that we would disturb them with our late-night games and chatter. Great for a family getaway or a solo retreat. We would definitely book this property again.
The location of this VRBO is ideal to explore the Redwoods! We loved the views overlooking the ocean. They had a collection of maps and info guides from nearby national and state parks as well as tourist options. They had great communication and a nice list of recommended hikes and restaurants. Great experience.
We travel quite a lot and this has been our all time favorite VRBO! It is cozy and charming but large enough to accommodate several people. I visited with my 16 yr old daughter and a friend and we all loved it. Fully equipped kitchen which we used for at least one meal a day. Great shower! The town of Trinidad was our favorite in the several hundred miles we traveled up the NW CA coast. breathtaking beaches and magnificent redwoods are closeby. After a busy day of redwood hikes and picturesque beaches, we loved coming “home” to relax and gaze out over the Pacific. We were all sad to leave and will hopefully be back.
We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views and the location was perfect for exploring the beaches and redwoods up and down the coast. We were hoping to enjoy the gorgeous porch more but the weather was on the colder side. The rental is a small, rustic unit within the larger house. For the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 school aged children) it felt a little cramped though it ended up working for our needs as we were out exploring for most of our trip. Kitchen could use more supplies like forks and dishrags/sponges in lieu of having a dishwasher. The hosts were friendly.
