Introduction
This characteristic, Georgian style 3-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 6 guests. It is ideally situated within the Old Village, loved for its cobbled streets, immaculate gardens, beautiful houses and swimming pools. The apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floor of a typical Old Village town house with two terraces and a large roof terrace.
The space
The apartment is accessed on the first floor by an external staircase to the front door. On the right-hand side of the hall, you will find the two twin rooms. The first bedroom has a retractable bed, a desk and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe. Both rooms have comfortable mattresses and bed linen, AC, shutters, and full height French doors leading out to a lovely shaded balcony.
Going from the hall straight ahead brings you to the bathroom shared by the twin rooms with wc, bath/shower. To the left is the master bedroom, which has a luxurious king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, large windows and a fitted wardrobe.
An internal staircase brings you to the 2nd floor, where you find the kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. The living area has a LED TV with over 100 channels, including all Sky Sports and BT Sports channels. From the Marshall sound system you can stream your own music. There is WiFi connection and Air Conditioning throughout the apartment.
The living room opens out to a small terrace for outside dining. From here, an exterior staircase leads to the rooftop terrace which contains a barbecue and comfortable sun beds.
Access
This is a fully independent, self-serving apartment of approximately 100m2. Except for some locked cupboards where we store private belongings, you will have the whole place to yourself.
Other details to note
Taking effect on November 1st 2024, the city of Loulé, encompassing Old Village Vilamoura, charges a Tourist Tax for the first five nights of the reservation. The tax applies to citizens of all nationalities, including Portuguese, with 16 years or more on the date of check-in. Between April 1st and October 31st, the tax amounts to 2€ per person per night, decreasing to 1€ between November 1st and March 31st. As we operate our property with a self-check-in service, guests will have to pay the total Tourist Tax sum prior to arrival. We will request the payment via the VRBO platform.
If you have difficulty with stairs, this apartment may not be suitable, as it's accessed by stairs and spread over three floors (incl. rooftop terrace). Stair gates are fitted inside for guests with small children.
Please be informed that the Old Village condominium charges for the sun loungers at the pools: €2 per bed per half day. This is to ensure that beds aren't blocked out for the whole day and to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the pools.
In the winter, some restaurants and bars in the Old Village will be closed. The supermarket remains open all year, and of course most of the restaurants and bars at the Marina do too. As maintenance and building works in the Old Village are allowed only between November and March, there is a potential for increased noise during this (generally quiet) period.

Guests can always reach out to us by what's app or phone, and we'll endeavour to respond within the hour. The information booklet in the apartment and provided beforehand contains detailed information about the apartment's appliances, suggestions for things to do in the area and contact numbers for questions, issues or emergencies. In the Old Village, support of any form will be available at short notice if needed.
Neighbourhood
The Old Village is a very picturesque resort of quality apartments and townhouses. It was constructed in classical Portuguese style and resembles the classic 17th and 18th century town houses of Lisbon and Faro. Old Village is situated in Vilamoura, one of the Algarve's most prestigious holiday destinations. It is only 25 minutes from Faro airport and a 20-25 minute walk from the bustling Marina and surrounding beaches.
The Old Village mixes style and elegance with the amenities of a modern holiday resort. Amenities include a supermarket, restaurants and bars, swimming pools and a children's play area, all set in beautifully maintained gardens. There is free wifi on the complex as well as in many of the bars. The resort is peaceful and you can enjoy 300 days of sun and warm temperatures all year round.
Surrounded by the "Pinhal" golf course, the Old Village is ideally located, only minutes from all of Vilamoura's facilities. There are ample bars, restaurants and cafes in the Old Village where you can buy anything from breakfast, a snack for lunch and a huge selection of delicious evening meals, from Italian pizzas to local specialties. There are three swimming pools - with bar and food facilities - the main pool being child friendly. All pools have sun loungers for hire. Excursions, bike hire, car hire and golf etc can all be arranged on-site.
The layout of the Old Village is designed with safety in mind, the whole resort being pedestrianised and with 24 hour security and CCTV for additional peace of mind. There are ample parking spaces surrounding the Old Village with walkways to all apartments. The Old Village is very friendly and very suitable for families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday or golfing parties looking for a central location in which to enjoy the many courses in the Vilamoura area.
Getting around
Like the name says, Old Village is a little village in itself. Guests can find all they need in the local bars, restaurants, bakery and supermarket. By foot, the Vilamoura Marina is a pleasant walk. The tourist train however comes by the resort too, and a ride with Uber is around five euros. Cars can be parked in the village or or surrounding streets. A Tours and Transfers service is available to take you either on short trips to the Marina or Waterpark or further a field in the Algarve.
