Love the location and little cabin in the woods. Short drive up to Bellingham, retro decoration, quiet and peaceful.

Great potential and comfy beds, with some fixes needed

The beds were very comfy and the wooden tables in the living room added a really nice ambiance.

Cabin in the Woods

Smooth check-in process, easy to find, close to Natl Park, cozy and roomy. Things to note: traffic off busy road, living room ceiling fan is noisy. Otherwise...great stay! Would recommend!

Outside is very small and not user friendly Beds and bedding are nice. Shower is small but pressure ok. Hotel style shampoo etc. bring your own. Didn’t spend time in cabin except to sleep, not sure it would have been nice for more

Not what I thought it would be

The windows that go to the peaks of the roof are nice for letting in light and sunshine. I liked the knotty pine walls. The musty smell never quite went away. The lighting inside is not adequate. I ended up having to move lamps around. The electricity seems outdated. And there was no room smoke detector. The one on top of the fridge didn't work.

The beds were fantastic. VERY comfortable. The bathroom was open. It has a door, but not really. Take a very close friend and don't get sick. Everyone will hear everything you do in the bathroom. Woodstove was a nice option, but wasn't clear if I could use the wood in the back of property or if I needed to buy wood. So I just passed and used the elctric heat, which works very well. The stove top is funky, to say the least.

Definitely Rustic

The kitchen is fantastic and the living/eating areas are comfy. The place was clean, but cobwebby on all the wood panelling, and the carpets could use a deep cleaning or better yet replacement. It smelled musty until we had all the doors open for the afternoon. Be aware there is no A/C and only one fan in the dining area - no fans of any kind in the bedrooms - and as other reviewers have said, little bathroom privacy with the sliding door. If you bring your dog, don't expect to spend time at the local lake. It's all private access.

Great cabin stay!

I had a great stay here at this cabin, with it having everything that I was looking for in a rustic cabin stay. The cabin is pretty close to roads, so you will hear some traffic, but there are enough trees surrounding it that you still get that secluded feel. There are a few things not mentioned in the ad that I would have liked to have known prior to booking: The wood stove was amazing and there were even directions on how to use and maintain it. Unfortunately, there was nothing by the stove to start a fire (paper, kindling, wood, starter logs, clicker). Nor were there any directions on where to find any of those things. While searching for wood around the property (found behind the shed), I noticed 3 security cameras attached to the cabin. I found this to be excessive and would have liked to have been made aware of this beforehand. There was not one single box of tissues in the whole cabin and the bed I used was very, very firm. All that being said, the photo's are great representation of the cabin and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
