Luna Bear

The property was nice and as described. Great location and as the name mentions saw a bear the forst day (across the street) . There are quite a few steps to get to the door but that did not worry us, as we are fully mobile, limited mobility may want to consider looking on google maps to judge if they are able to climb. Did have a midnight visitor rummage through the trash:) great house.

The house/cabin was excellent! It was extremely nice, plenty of room for family, it had everything we needed. It was close to everything we did in Pigeon Forge. We would absolutely stay there again!

Good experience

My wife and I stayed with another couple who are friends of ours. We were very pleased with the property. Well organized, staged, and finished property. Good location with close proximity to Dollywood and everything else we wanted or needed. Driveway is very steep with little room to negotiate but this is pretty typical with these kinds of properties. There were lengthy sets of steep stairs which were no problem for us (30s-40s) but pregnant, elderly, or individuals in bad physical shape need to be aware before booking here. We’d definitely book again!

Gorgeous but Several Issues to Consider

Likes: - gorgeous interior, very modern - very clean - loved all the natural light Dislikes - the fridge was beeping nonstop the whole trip and we couldn’t figure out why - the upstairs bedroom was extremely tight to move around in with two beds in there - showers were warm but not hot, couldn’t get it any warmer - house address number is on the house, but you can’t see it from the road so it makes it a bit difficult to find - the description of the stairs doesn’t do them justice - they were awful to go up all the time. Highly suggest adding a picture so people can truly understand what they are getting themselves into with them. - one bed in upstairs bedroom had zero cushion, could feel every spring in it. - only TV service available is Netflix - no other apps or cable worked. Even calling customer service couldn’t help, believe the owner needs to correct that themselves. Not having ability for live tv (either thru an app or cable) was awful

Very nice home!

Our family stayed at the Luna Bear Chalet for a short weekend stay, and I can’t say enough how impressed we are with this cozy home. It had all the amenities you would need and then some. We would definitely book this home again.

Gem in the Mountains

The home is beautiful, just as pictured. The convenience of having everything you need in the home was great, it is stocked very well. There are about 50 steps leading to the front door as the home is perched high on the side of the mountain.

Great Smokey mtn trip !

We loved our stay and the house was overall great! Very clean and everything was as described. There are a lot of stairs to the property but this was not a surprise. Compared to other properties that we passed, the driveway was not that steep. The hot tub seemed liked it needed a good clean or new filter, but otherwise everything was very clean. My only complaint/suggestion is the trash. There was only one outside trash bin which made it hard to fit everything in, but moreover it is not animal-proof. We used both carabiners to strap the bin and lid, but despite this raccoons were still able to get in and we ended up cleaning up trash along the deck and side of the mountain. We ended up keeping all the trash inside the house til the end of the trip. Overall would recommend!

Great if you don’t have an eye to point out unclean areas

Pros -Nice Comfortable Space for couples & small families -Spacious Balcony/Deck for small group gatherings -Available Outlets throughout house -2 Spacious Rooms -2 Full Bathrooms; very Spacious Upstairs bathroom -Nice Views of the surrounding Mountain Range from Living Room -Nice TV’s -1 Bunk Bed upstairs for guests -Space Heaters on both levels -An Iron & Ironing Board -Washer & Dryer with Detergent Pods -Dirty Clothes hamper - decent views by the window Areas needing Improvement/Fix -Ceiling Fans need thorough dusting/cleaning. There was food rubbed all over the walls leading down the stairs. There was blood stains on some of the linen. Note to the owner: if there is ever bodily fluids on linens SIMPLY REPLACE THEM! -Outside Trash Cans were not left for guests so we had to leave our trash in the house -Downstairs televisions need pairing. Whenever we turned on the tv in the bedroom, the TV in the living room would turn on disabling us to use the bedroom TV. -Coffee bags under kitchen counter are expired and the coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Dishes needed to be washed we found multiple dirty dishes in the pantry especially on the utensils -No broom to sweep floors.. but there was a dust pan. Overall our stay was nice, but the place needs a VERY detailed cleaning. Surface/superficial cleaning will simply not work!

Beautiful!

This is a beautiful home. I really enjoyed the windows especially in the morning seeing the sun rise during my prayer and reading time. It is very modern and nice but nicely equipped for kids(high chair, bibs, toys, nice plastic utensils, coloring books, pack n play). The location is great. I would recommend staying here, it is definitely a sweet vacation home.

Beautiful home but BEWARE of stairs

This home is new and beautiful but please beware there are 45 stairs to get to the front door. I have back issues and was not aware of the large amount of stairs (I had read reviews but didn't realize there were SO many) elderly folks or people with mobility issues would struggle just to get luggage up the stairs, let alone walking to the front door after a long day. Vacasa needs to disclose in the listing that there are a lot of stairs. The main living space is very comfortable and we had beautiful fall views out the windows and from the hot tub. This home also needs a deep clean, the floors were not clean aside from sweeping and the hot tub had a thick film on the seats in spots and on the filter. Overall the home was quiet, close to town (10min to Dollywood) and comfortable, once you made it up the stairs!

Cozy, modern mountain house

The house was perfect for our weekend getaway to visit Anakeesta & Dollywood. There are lots of steps to enter the house. We didn’t mind & loved being able to see the fall colors. We also had a mama bear & her 3 cubs come close to the house. One cub made it to the front porch and thankfully we were inside at that point.

Cool, fun, lots to do, relaxing

You gotta be ok with going up some stairs to get in but great place with lots of fun games and places to hang out. Morning sun is harsh because large windows are situated facing East but we were cool with that because we went to activities in the morning (cabin is very close to Dollywood) and spent most of our time in the cabin in the evenings. Awesome place!
