About this property

Welcome to Woods Hideaway, a brand new construction one bedroom 650 sq ft space on the ground floor of our family home. This unique location is nestled in the village of Kitty Hawk in the coastal woods reserve. Very secluded and peaceful, surrounded by nature, while only a 5 minute drive to public beach accesses, shopping and restaurants. This space is perfect for solo travelers, couples or small families with children.
The space features a open concept living and dining room with canal views, sitting area, and 55 inch smart tv. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a full size fridge & freezer, ice maker, 12 cup coffee maker, induction plate, a countertop multi function convection oven and other cooking essentials. The private bedroom has a king size memory foam adjustable bed, large closet space, smart tv with Netflix and a view of the woods. There is a full bath with shower/tub combo and large vanity space. A stackable washer dryer unit in the hall closet is available for use. The space is completed with a private outdoor covered patio space that opens to the beautiful backyard which is shared by us, the owners and our family.

Perfect

My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and loved it! Hosts were very gracious, inviting, and easy to communicate with. The space was very clean, updated, and was a very short drive to multiple public beach access points.

Nice for a short stay

Very nice little flat- all new construction and very clean. Host was very nice and responded quickly to all inquiries. All linens and towels provided were very nice and clean. The only thing that took me by surprise was the lack of a cooktop/stove. It may have mentioned that in the amenities but I missed it. There was a plug in hot plate and toaster oven that worked really well and sufficed for the tacos we made one night. So you have to keep meals very simple if you plan to dine in-also because there’s a rule against using any kind of grill or outdoor cooktop. I found that very limiting, but we were only there two nights so it didn’t really affect us much. Also worthy of mention is that the hosts live upstairs with small children so there is, as you would expect, some noise associated with that. We didn’t mind it and didn’t find it excessive but others might. Overall, a nice little stay for a weekend for a family of 2-3. My son ended up sleeping on the floor because he and my daughter didn’t want to share the small sleeper couch. Hope this helps

Comfortable property for a base of operations

The owners are fantastic and the property is very comfortable. While you are not on the beach, it is a short drive to a public access point with free parking. This was a great place to come 'home' to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend.
