The Sun Shack has 4 balconies is directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. Walk or ride bikes to restaurants, fishing, the peaceful island views or anywhere else. Each bedroom, living and kitchen have a balcony to walk out on and enjoy the views. The property even has its own white sand for the kids to play in while you grill out for dinner. Two fulls baths and a sleeper sofa so the unit can sleep up to 7.

Great location!

This property met our needs very well. The raised beach access just across the street made getting there very easy. That was our first stay on Navarre Beach and I've decided it's my favorite new beach getaway! The National Seashore to the west is beautiful and there are several parking areas that are open for visitors and not crowded. I would visit this property again.

Gulf Boulevard property

The nice thing about the property is it is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, if you stand on the upper deck, you can see the Gulf of Mexico, the beach, & the ocean. The view was beautiful. Communication with the host was easy, I just went on website & sent a message, he messaged me back pretty quickly. Now the bad: there were cockroaches in the townhouse/condo. We killed several every day & night. There was not enough bed linens or blankets, not enough towels. We had to wash the towels every day. Also there wasn’t a broom, dustpan, vacuum available for cleaning the floors. There was a wasp’s nest on the deck outside of the living room area. We didn’t bother them, they didn’t bother us. The posting for there said that there was everything that we would need, not true.

Not What I Expected

I booked this place for three nights. Check in is after 4. When my family arrived at 530pm the house still had not been cleaned from the guests prior. Window blinds were also broken and on the floor. I tried getting in contact with the property owner but no immediate luck. VRBO was not helpful. They asked what it was I wanted them to do about it. VRBO said I could clean the house. I was shocked. Finally the owner got in contact with me. They sent a cleaning crew over and they were done about 830. The cleaning crew was extremely nice and tried to get done as fast as possible as they knew we were on vacation waiting for them instead of enjoying our evening. The house is run down compared to the pictures. The blinds are broken, balcony furniture was broken, holes in the curtains, leakage stains on the bathroom ceilings, and a problem with roaches. When I mentioned the roach issue I was told that it is normal to have them in the houses in Florida. I have friends that live in Florida who do not have roaches on their homes. We found roaches in the master bedroom and kitchen area. The owner has not charged me a cleaning fee, but there are other issues that need to be looked at with this property.
