Welcome to our off-grid, solar powered, family farmstead, a countryside retreat experience. Free interactive tours of our 30 acre farmstead available by request. Dog friendly walking path circles guest house. Stay for a retreat style working vacation surrounded by countryside silence. Message us "WindyRockRanch" for $10 off cleaning fee. Fast WiFi, stocked Keurig coffee/tea bar, amazing hilltop view, EV charging station, equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and fresh eggs for sale.
Parking and Dogs:
- Plenty of space on the farm for parking boats, trailers, race cars, ect.
- We allow pets but no aggressive dog breeds allowed per insurance company. See house rules for more details.

Everything you would expect in a home but just more simple (and smaller). Interested in a farm tour? Just ask! We also have farm fresh eggs for sale if you prefer to skip the grocery store!
*Note: No TV but we have high speed internet.

In 2017 I got married and set out on an adventure to build an off grid farmstead for my family with my own hands just like my great grandparents did. We are still on that journey and would love to share a little piece of heaven with you along the way. Perhaps it will inspire you to start a garden or raise a flock of egg laying chickens. We hold an annual homestead gathering at our 30 acre property teaching families how to move back to the land.
When we travel we prefer to lodge at VRBO Homestead properties which inspired our family to provide that option for you only 23 minutes from Green Bay, WI.

Rolling hills and farms across the horizon provide a breathtaking view of sunrise and sunset on top of the Windy Rock Ranch.
This retreat will slowly bring you back in time to the 1920s with the Vermont Casting Wood Stove serving as the main attraction in the living room. Although we don't allow fires during your stay the cast iron freestanding wood stove sets a relaxing mood surrounded by natural stone. Our newest addition, a replica 1921 rotary wall phone offers our guests an opportunity to dial loved ones and experience life before cell phones. The book, "Growing Up on the Farm", which was written by my late grandfather Norb, is resting on the coffee table for those interested in taking a journey back to life on a farm during the Great Depression.
