The space
Entering the Den you're greeted with an expansive, vaulted great room with dining and kitchen, fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The queen bedroom and private bath are located on the main level for easy access.

Heading upstairs, you'll enter a comfortable loft for reading and games, and the loft couch opens to a sleeper sofa. The spacious king master bedroom and private bath also occupy the top level. If you're working remotely, use the comfy desk and super-fast wifi to connect from your vacation retreat.

The back deck feels private with a grill and outdoor dining space, hot tub...and a winter view of the mountain ridge behind.

Guest access
After entering the neighborhood through the security gate, you'll find spacious parking for 3 vehicles at Bear's Den. There is also a secure and convenient entry to the house with an electronic door lock.
Other things to note
-Winter driving
4WD/ AWD vehicle is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the winter due to inclement weather. While the neighborhood has road maintenance, including plowing and salting, winter weather can change rapidly and we cannot guarantee the status of roads.

-Skiing
For skiers, we are located 8 miles from App Ski Mtn, 10 miles from Sugar Mtn, and 18 from Beech Mtn!

-TVs
There is no cable or broadcast TV, but you can access thousands of TV shows and movies from the included Netflix account. You can also sign in with your own Hulu, Prime Video, Disney subscription etc.

-Hot Tub
We have a smaller hot tub that is ideal for 2 but will accommodate up to 3 people. Please do not over crowd.

-Cleaning Fees & Trash
Our cleaning fee covers housekeeping, hot tub maintenance and trash removal. To keep these fees reasonable, we require some very basic items to be completed by guests.

-Steep inclines
The cabin is located on a mountain and is accessed by paved roads with steep inclines. The driveway is also a little steep and could be challenging to get in and out during heavy snow, so we recommend using the parking pad on the street.

Peaceful Weekend Get Away

The Bears Den Cabin was very peaceful. Tucked away in a private neighborhood but close enough to Boone/Banner Elk to enjoy fun activities and dining. We really enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Bear’s Den cabin. Nestled in the North Carolina mountains within a beautiful gated community. Centrally located between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC. The cabin was very clean and nicely appointed. The hot tub on the back porch was the perfect way to relax after a long hike or a day of shopping and exploring. We look forward to returning for future visits.
