Awesome place right on the lake, nice dock to fish on and even a row boat if you want to go on the lake. The resident dog, Bruno, is extremely friendly and the owners of the property are very nice and accomodating. I would definitely stay here again!
My family stayed at Twin Pines for a long weekend and it was wonderful! The lake is beautiful and Bruno is the best boy! My kids had a great time and loved swimming even though it was not too warm when we were there. We plan on returning next year!
Amanda and Mike are great hosts. The camp is exactly as advertised and it's a great value. A group of 10 geologists used the property as a base camp for exploring and collecting. The location is perfect for exploring White Fish Point west to Copper Harbor. We will stay again.
Great stay on Johnson lake! My wife and I found the place to check all the boxes we were looking for. We enjoyed the town of Gwinn, plenty of restaurants to chose from. Amanda, our host, was great. We arrived late, but she was nice enough to wait up for us to make sure we got in okay. We would go back again.
Twin Pines was a nice place to stay after our busy days. The resident dog, Bruno, is very friendly and definitely a plus! The property does have someone living in the lower level (completely separate, no shared doors), but you cannot hear them. A couple things to note, if you are tall (I’m 6’2”), a few door frames or areas will require you do duck slightly. The water does have a pretty strong sulfur smell, but is fine for showering. All in all, it was a nice place to stay and was only 20 minutes from Marquette.
