Just a magical home and a magical stay. So welcomed into this gorgeous property. Amazing house and location

We had the most wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holidays with our family. Everything from stacked kitchen with great appliances and modern bathrooms to great-smelling and comfortable beds (a rare find these days) worked perfectly to make our time at the house unforgettable. And the views!… we already miss the views. We will definitely try to rent this place again in the future!

Incredible stay and serene property

Our stay was really magical. The home is outfitted with everything you could possibly need - lots of towels and kitchen accessories. Everything was very comfortable, including the beds and the sofas -we especially appreciated the blackout curtains in the bedrooms. There were cozy blankets in every room and the hot tub, looking out onto the cliffs and the ocean was relaxing and peaceful. It was also very easy to communicate with the owner and the house had a manual that made staying there very easy. Our family would love to be able to stay there again.

Amazing home!

The four of us had an incredible time at Dew Point. The house is stunning, the views impeccable and the communication with the owners excellent. There are so many beautiful ful sitting areas and the nearby towns and coast are charming. The owners designed the home to perfection and even had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. We can’t wait to return!

My family and I stayed in this gorgeous house in Gualala. The view was breathtaking and the extra amenities were a fabulous perk. If you love to cook like I do, you will love the kitchen! Top notch appliances and everything you need to make your stay comfortable. This will definitely be on my list of houses to rent again.

Beautiful And Welcoming

Everything about this well appointed property was warm, welcoming and beautifully and tastefully finished. The views were spectacular. The way the family room, dining room and kitchen are designed are perfect for entertaining and enjoying friends and family. The deck which overlooks the ocean is huge and has a big clean jetted hot tub. The bedrooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen is a chef’s dream. It’s huge and has everything you could want or hope for. The hosts / owners of this amazing property are generous and have thought of everything to make sure that your stay is completely comfortable and enjoyable. They really facilitated in a memorable vacation for us and our friends.

Fabulous Stay

Sometimes, when you search for a nice place to stay, to treat your family to a special get away, you fall prey to property embellishments. In this case there were zero embellishments. This home is loaded with amenities. It has a first class kitchen with everything you need to make anything. The common living and dining areas are spacious and comfortable. As are all of the bedrooms. To top all of this off , the views of the coastline are fabulous.

What a GEM!

Honestly, I am not sure this house could be any better. The view from the deck, or while in the hot tub, is something magical - the Pacific Ocean as far as you can see. The house is so well stocked and if you love to cook, the kitchen is a dream! All the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable - fantastic mattresses, pillows and bedding. Really, everything was top notch, and I am a picky traveller! Kuddos to the owners for making their home so splendid and then sharing it with us lucky few who stay there. Fantastic property mgmt service experience as well. When we return to Gualala, this is where we hope to stay in the future. Please keep this as a rental!

Fantastic oceanfront property for families

We were two couples each with a toddler, and this house served as an excellent base to explore the area. (The only problem was we didn’t really want to leave the house!) The house has fantastic views, as pictured, and high quality furnishings and finishes. At the same time, everything seemed hard-wearing so we felt able to relax despite having two toddlers running around. (The cliffs to the ocean were no issue for smaller kids due to the beautiful enclosed deck, which has swimming-pool-style gate—leaving only the internal stairs to protect).

Seaside Serenity

Located on a bluff with stunning views of crashing waves along the gorgeous coastline, this house had everything we needed for inspiration and comfort. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked for complete cooking experiences, the living room space is gorgeous and comfortable, the outdoor decks and sitting areas are inviting, the hot tub overlooks an incredible view, and the showers and indoor tubs are lovely. The host was very responsive and helpful, although there wasn’t anything we really needed since it was so well stocked. We all left this house much more relaxed and inspired than when we arrived. Highly recommended!

Dr. Jeff and Caroline Duckham have visited the Gualala area for over 40 years. Jeff is a retired family solo practice physician for over 40 years, and Caroline retired from Silicon Valley having worked in the high tech industry for 30 years.

Why they chose this property

The Duckham Family built on this beautiful bluff off California Highway 1 overlooking the ocean in the early 90s. With only 7 homes on this small point on the coast, we found peace and quiet

What makes this property unique

The wildlife provides amazing theatre from this perch approximately 90 feet above the water in a cove overlooking the pacific ocean. You will be watching the osprey hovering at eye level from the living room, fishing for their young, brown pelicans and seagulls flying in formation, and you may see a bald eagle couple that lives on the cliffs across the cove. The cormorants come out just before sunset and cruise close to the water. During the season whales will play just beyond the rocks and occasionally dolphins play in the cove. The tides provide an ever-changing landscape. At low tide "submarine rock" will appear in full view. This amazing place on earth can be windy at times, but that is when the "show" over the cove is truly amazing. Ravens and vultures may give a fly-by too :). We simply love this area and it has always been our decompression zone.
