Our property is 5 acres of hemlock groves, creeks, ponds and Prairies with hiking trails throughout. You can enjoy this beautiful habitat right in your backyard and then walk 5 minutes down the road to berry creek farm and grab some fresh blueberries!
When you enter our farmhouse, you'll be greeted by a large open concept space with 20-foot ceilings, lots of natural light and a classic Vermont aesthetic with antiques and farmhouse Knickknacks. This is a a comfortable, spacious cabin with everything new inside, and very clean. Comfortable beds; the kitchen has everything, even a dishwasher, and there is a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a metal spiral staircase to the upper loft that was fun for the kids (the listing pictures show a steep ladder, which was apparently replaced). The bathroom and the bedroom have fashionable sliding barn doors (though we may have preferred real doors for privacy). The cabin is located near a local road, as is of course seen on the map. It's a 15 min drive to the Jay Peak ski resort (which was the purpose of our trip), and several supermarkets are within 20 min. We didn't have much time to walk/hike around, but the cabin is surrounded by young spruces that will eventually grow into a forest. Overall, an economical and convenient place to stay for a family skiing vacation.
