About this property

Rustic Cabin in Heart of Vermont Farm Country

Our cabin is set in the heart of Northeast Kingdom farm country and only minutes from Jay Peak. A perfect location to unwind, reconnect with nature and enjoy amazing access to fresh local organic food oh and ski of course! Our property is 5 acres of hemlock groves, creeks, ponds and Prairies with hiking trails throughout. You can enjoy this beautiful habitat right in your backyard and then walk 5 minutes down the road to berry creek farm and grab some fresh blueberries!

When you enter our farmhouse, you'll be greeted by a large open concept space with 20-foot ceilings, lots of natural light and a classic Vermont aesthetic with antiques and farmhouse Knickknacks. A big kitchen with plenty of room for cooking, a restful space to relax and watch tv and a workspace with a cozy little reading nook up in the loft are the highlights of our home. Outside you can enjoy the sunrise over the mountains from our covered porch or watch the birds and bees in the native wildflower prairie that makes up most of our front property. Behind our home a quaint stream runs through the property, beyond that is another 5 acres of hemlock groves and creeks, with trails perfect for a relaxing stroll right out your front door, with better views of the distance mountains. we hope to see you soon :)

Comfortable, fully equipped cabin near Jay peak

This is a a comfortable, spacious cabin with everything new inside, and very clean. Comfortable beds; the kitchen has everything, even a dishwasher, and there is a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a metal spiral staircase to the upper loft that was fun for the kids (the listing pictures show a steep ladder, which was apparently replaced). The bathroom and the bedroom have fashionable sliding barn doors (though we may have preferred real doors for privacy). The cabin is located near a local road, as is of course seen on the map. It's a 15 min drive to the Jay Peak ski resort (which was the purpose of our trip), and several supermarkets are within 20 min. We didn't have much time to walk/hike around, but the cabin is surrounded by young spruces that will eventually grow into a forest. Overall, an economical and convenient place to stay for a family skiing vacation.
