Located inside a very charming noble building once called Palazzo Corsini ai Tintori which dates back to the 17th Century, you will be staying in the heart of one of Florence’s most historical districts where the area takes its name from the monumental church of Santa Croce.

This property is located on first floor with elevator and can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests (4 bedrooms and sofa beds in the living room). The apartment is set all on one floor and measures around 3000 square feet. This home away from home boasts a genuinely Florentine feel and character, bespoke furnishings and top-quality appliances, and an overall luxury chic essential style. Its contemporary design concept is inspired by a minimalist mood, combining clean cut lines, simplicity and a refined colour palette that enhances the wondrous architectural features this historical Florentine palazzo has to offer.

The apartment has been superbly restored and decorated by designer and architect Ilaria Sassolini and her team, and the superb frescoes have been restored by one of Florence’s most talented and renowned local artisans. Great attention to detail made during the restoration to seamlessly blend original and modern materials has created an overall totally unique ambience. Modern comforts abound including air conditioning, independent heating settings in each room during the colder months, high speed WiFi, latest generation TVs and a high spec sound system.

The apartment boasts a very spacious kitchen with large stainless fridge-freezer and endless work top space, a worthy setting for true culinary magic. And what better to do so than when in Tuscany?! Learn to cook like a local in your own authentic kitchen or why not sit down and relax and enjoy a private chef dinner. This space is the perfect spot to gather with friends or family for breakfast or sit down and tuck into a delicious meal after a busy day sightseeing the city of Florence. You will find our personal trove of family recipes, so you can recreate the enticing aromas of the traditional Italian cuisine, glass of wine in hand, surrounded by the people you love. The kitchen is connected to both living rooms, each one with its own unique concept and “function”. One living room is more informal and “relaxing”, furnished with large spacious sofas (that convert into sofa beds), chaise-longues and comfortable upholstered poufs. This room looks out over onto Corso Tintori. The other, more formal, boasts sofas and chairs, more suited to intimate conversations or after dinner cocktails, made easy with an elegant wet bar that makes serving drinks a delight. This room looks out onto the inner garden space in the courtyard.

The apartment boasts four luxury bedrooms, each of which has a beautiful en-suite bathroom to ensure utmost privacy and commodity. Each bedroom has been exquisitely interior designed (with hand-crafted wardrobes for maximum design and functionality) and decorated with their own subtle themes and colour palette. Each one boasts a grand headboard, each crafted by our own team of local artisans using quality genuine Italian leather, and each one with its own distinct colour to match the ancient frescoes that adorn the ceilings. Beautiful marble tiles adorn each bathroom which boast a walk-in shower.

Quality parquet wooden flooring abounds creating a very warm and inviting atmosphere and the choice of lighting throughout will fully complement the apartment’s magnificent, frescoed ceilings and decorative ancient walls.

Last but not least enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail in the inner courtyard with beautiful vertical garden, furnished with quality table and chairs.

Superb

By any measure and any taste, this apartment is exquisite. It is obvious that the owners have a passion for restoring grand apartments by marrying the preservation of the old with the highest quality modern amenities. It is equally obvious that you are being invited to enjoy their home as their guest. The location is excellent. You are mostly a 5-10 minute leisurely walk to all of the places you will want to visit and no more than 20 minutes from everything in the city center. And the apartment is very quiet. Erika met us at the apartment to explain everything and was always available for help. She was extremely helpful throughout our 5 night stay. My family and friends and I were blown away by this apartment. You will be too.

You will not be disappointed

We recently stayed in this beautifully renovated apartment in Florence, and it was perfect for our family. The floor plan was ideal—my parents stayed in the front bedroom, while the rest of us (4 adults with 4 kids) used the bedrooms in the back. This setup worked out perfectly for our needs. The apartment’s design is excellent, with an adult-oriented living room, a cozy TV room, and an inviting outdoor patio, all connected to the centrally located kitchen. This layout was particularly handy during a cooking class we did with Erika, the home manager, which was amazing. Erika was also incredibly responsive throughout our stay and provided us with many great suggestions of things to do in Florence and the surrounding area. Donatella has truly thought of everything to make this apartment an outstanding place to stay. From the meticulously prepared welcome package, the easy-to-use A/C units in every room, the washer/dryer, and even old frescos on the ceilings that they were able to save during the renovation of this apartment. The apartment is also in a prime location, only a block from Santa Croce and a block from the Arno. I highly recommend this apartment—you will not be disappointed!

Great location!

We had a great Christmas in this house. Lots of space to relax and everyone had their own room. Was much larger than we expected. We had a great cooking class in the house. Such fun learning to make pasta and an amazing meal! We were welcomed with multiple bottles of wine. It was great to be right above a grocery store for any of our last minute needs. I highly recommend staying here.

Hello! My name is Donatella and I have been welcoming tourists to Florence since 1997! Born and raised in a charming small town of Tuscany, I’ve always been surrounded by beauty, tradition, and artistry. With a background in the fashion industry, my career sharpened my eye for detail and nurtured my passion for creating elegance in every aspect of life. This passion naturally extended to interior design where I channel my love for authenticity, comfort and understated luxury.
A devoted traveler, I’ve been especially drawn to India, where I’ve embraced Ayurvedic wellness and the transformative power of its culture. My love for people, dogs and the simple joys of life inspire me to craft meaningful connections and experiences together with my husband Gianni who shares the same passions.
Now being based in Florence, I bring this vision to life by offering unique apartments that are more than just a place to stay—they are a “home away from home.” Thoughtfully designed with comfort, authenticity and style, each space reflects my love for blending tradition with modern luxury. Whether you’re here to explore the rich history of the city or seek a serene retreat, I take pride in offering a truly memorable stay. I now embrace life with a balance of wisdom and curiosity. With a lifetime of experiences behind me, I find joy in both quiet reflection and engaging with the world around me, whether it’s pursuing hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or staying active, I approach every day with a sense of gratitude and purpose. My journey has been one of growth, resilience and discovery—and I’m always looking forward to the next chapter.
