About this property

Prague-Super Classy-Best Location-2 BR Apartment

This beautifully furnished 2-bedroom apartment is ideally located on Bethlehem Square, a 2-min walk to Charles Bridge and 5-min walk to both Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. This apartment is ideally situated on a quiet street just around the corner from Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. One of Prague's best restaurants, V zátisí, is located on the ground floor of this property (the restaurant was recommended by Michelin 2007).

The apartment includes 1 queen-size and 2 single beds, which sleeps 4 persons. An extra single bed can be placed in each bedroom to accommodate 2 additional persons.

The living room is spacious and equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, and free cable internet, and large comfortable sofa.

The kitchen is completely modern and includes everything for inside dining – stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, cookware, dishware, and utensils – and large dining table. Dishwasher included.

The bathroom is large and modern. Meet the owner/managerI'm Mira K., owner and property manager. I have a very personal interest in this property. Originally built in 1896, my wife’s family were the owners of this apartment house, when in 1948 it was confiscated by the communist government and they were forced to leave. But following the 1989 Velvet Revolution, it was returned to the family. Starting in 2005, many of the apartments have been completely remodeled (with me as director and sometimes, demolition expert and trash man). The house’s nickname is Liliovka (Little Lily), but officially it is called “U zlatého šípu” (House at the Golden Arrow). I was in the hotel business for many years, so I know how to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

BEST APARTMENT IN PRAGUE

My friends and I stayed in Miro's apartment, and let me tell you, he has the best apartment in Prague, the price is good, the location is key, and the apartment itself is beautiful and big. Not to mention the owner (Miro) is a very easy going and friendly man! I RECOMMEND THIS OVER ANY APARTMENT IN PRAGUE!!

Central location and clean...

We stayed 4 nights in this rental. Located on the 3rd floor. This apartment has 2 bedrooms, and we thought it was strangely divided and Mira confirmed that under the communist era, this apartment was divided in two and one bedroom had a kitchen and the living room had a made up "WC". Everything in the rental was functional (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer... You can google the instructions for the dryer that captures the water in container on top of the machine). The reason I'm giving a 3 star rating is because there was nothing in the rental: liquid dish soap, bar of soaps, washing machine liquid, paper towels, washing clothe, coffee, sugar, etc. We had to get stuff for about $1000 Kc. It was our first rental (9th one with VRBO/HomeAway) where we had to get all that stuff. For the price of the rental, the basic should be included. The second reason was because the stuff in the apartment was warned out with tears or holes in them (some bed sheet, sofa, blinds). We could not open the windows in the bedroom facing the back, because despite the net, pigeons made their way in and we did not want them to get in the apartment On the plus side, Mira (or Zuzana) picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the train station. We may sound like difficult renters, but we travelled many countries and some in worst economic conditions than the Czech Rep., and for the price of the rental they need to elevate their standard. Great location!

My sister and mother and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. From my first enquiry with Mira, I was favourably impressed by his prompt and friendly responses. The apartment is located in a beautiful building on a gorgeous little square very close to the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. We walked everywhere, even to the Castle (mum is a fit 76). There are about 90 stone steps to get up to the apartment however the location more than compensated for that. The photos are accurate although the lounge suite is starting to look tired and the kitchen could use more wine glasses and new cooking pots. Mira was waiting for us on our platform at the train station with a sign with our names so that we were spared the anxiety of trying to find the apartment. He speaks excellent english and was very helpful. Although we don't speak any czech (and we did try), we didn't have any difficulties with the language anywhere. The tour of the City Hall beside the Astronomical Clock is good value and well worth doing and includes seeing the Clock's workings from the inside if you take the 1pm tour. We found a Tesco supermarket within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. There is a fascinating restaurant called U Zlate Konvice in an underground stone cellar off the Old Town Square - I'd say it's a must visit (we just had a drink there), but be warned, it's full of stuffed animals including bears and boar. On our last day, Mira collected us and drove us to the airport which made for a nice relaxing end to our visit to a beautiful city. I would recommend Mira's property to my friends and family and next time I'll be back with my husband!

Stay here if you come to Prague! It is an excellent location to tourists sights, restaurants, and bars. Mira is so personable and helpful! Picked us up at the airport so there are no worries! Very spacious apartment and a very quiet area. Walking distance to everything...Just wonderful! Don't hesitate to stay here! Mira really is an excellent host and we loved talking with him when we arrived! Prague is truly wonderful...I will be back!

A Magical Christmas in Prague!

This was my husband and my second visit to Prague and to Mira's beautiful apartment. This time we brought our two teenage children for a special Czech Christmas and it was everything we hoped it would be, and more! The apartment is huge by European standards and is spacious with high ceilings and lots of light coming through the many, long windows. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm and the bathroom and laundry facilities are excellent. In addition to an attractive, clean and very well equipped apartment, the greatest asset would have to be the amazing location. Even Prague locals I know, are envious of the apartment's proximity to the heart of the city. Meander in one direction and you stumble upon Old Town Square, in another direction and you are at Wenceslas Square. Turn around and it's a short walk to Charles Bridge and across the Vltava river to the impressive Prague Castle. We also walked not far to the famous Dvorak Hall for a stunning concert. Mira gave us some tips on exceptionally good, yet reasonable places to eat out, again within a hop, skip and a jump of the apartment building. Mira is a gracious host and his warm and open insights into Czech life and culture leave a lasting impression. I can't recommend this apartment enough.

Perfect Home in Prague!

My friend and I stayed in this lovely apartment and it was absolutely perfect. Mira, the owner, was gracious, kind, helpful, and on top of everything. From picking us up at the airport, to explaining the city, to making sure we understood everything in the apartment, he left out no details. The apartment is absolutely HUGE, very clean, and in a GREAT location. I wouldn't change a thing and I hope that if I ever return to Prague, I'll be able to stay there again. Thanks, Mira!!

Wonderful apartment and location; great people.

My wife and our two adult children had a very enjoyable stay at this Liliova apartment in Prague. The place was comfortable, spacious and clean with lots of light. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities right there in the apartment was a real plus. The location in old town Prague was terrific. Lots of things within walking distance including historical sites, buildings, bridges, shopping (tourist stuff as well as modern grocery store) and restaurants. It was great to be able to roam the streets for hours and be able to go back to the apartment to rest our sore feet and take a nap. Even though Liliova was close in, it was quiet. Negatives--minor--the apartment was upstairs and there was no elevator but considering all the walking we did around Prague, so what. Other negative--I am half Czech but I find the language indecipherable (so typically American). Last best thing--Mira Kadlec, the manager. Friendly, energetic, helpful, multi-lingual and just a nice person. Tell him we say hello and thanks.

Would never stay anywhere else!

Four of us stayed in this beautiful apt. during Easter week, a very crowded, touristy time in Prague. The apartment was very spacious, and despite crowds in the street only 2 blocks away, it was lovely and quiet. We loved being so close everything - Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Mala Strana - virtually everything, except maybe the Castle, was within walking distance. The apt. is surrounded with great restaurants, cafes, and one of the best restaurants in all of Prague is on the ground floor of the apt. building.( It was a little pricey for us on this particular trip so did not eat there). We loved Choco Cafe across the street,( great hot chocolate) the Czech place on corner of Betlemensk Square (great garlic soup) and the vegetarian place, "Clear Head" a couple blocks away on Borsov. Besides paying probably half of what we would have paid at a hotel, and having a nice big kitchen available to us, so that we only had to eat out once a day, the other advantage of staying in this apt. was that we were in the capable and ever helpful hands of Mira. I can't sing his praises enough! He schlepped all of us from the airport, and got all our luggage up four flights of stairs ( more about this later). We all had different departure times and he provided transportation for all of us, and even found me another apt. to stay in, as I was in Prague longer than the others. He is a welcome friend to have in Prague, which can be confusing for first timers with its language and money differences. Hats off to him, he will make your stay much easier. These things about the apt. might not be to your liking: 1.there is no elevator and you must climb 4 flights of stairs! This became part of a great workout for us, so we ended up feeling good about it. Its a little daunting at first though, with all the luggage. Pack lightly....really! 2. The toilet is in a completely separate room from the shower and sink. It was not a problem at all for us and one gets used to it quickly. We actually cooked quite a bit, and even had a bunch of college kids over for a big dinner and the apt. was perfect for this. They all raved at how big and beautiful the space was. Beds were comfy, everything clean, furniture also big and comfy. Luxurious it is not, but perfect for busy sightseers. We spent a lot of time at Havelska market, the Easter market, (fabulous roast sausages!) and took trams (very easy) to the Castle and the Brevnov Monastery. We'll be back!

Perfect location - ideal for families / friends

Mira is a gracious host, speaks great English and met us on the train platform upon arrival. It was very refreshing to not have to figure out how to get to the apartment on our arrival - he picked us up, loaded our stuff into a spacious van and went directly to the apartment. We were so pleased with this apartment that I will recommend this apartment to all friends and family planning to visit Prague. The location is ideal, in a quiet section of Prague 1, only 3-5 minutes walk from Charles Bridge / Old Town and New Town. We were there for 4 nights and never used public transportation. The pictures are accurate - the apartment is huge and there is plenty of space for everyone to store their clothes and baggage. Fully equipped with washer and dryer (bring your own soap), plenty of linen and comfortable bedding. It is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. The kitchen is complete w/ dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc - but there are no staples provided, it is empty of all food items. Many 'self catering' apartments have salt, pepper, sugar, oil - but this one doesn't, so come prepared, buy it or do without - in the end, it didn't really matter. We did not find any type of grocery store other than local 'mom n' pop' markets or the daily vegetable / fruit stand, but did breakfast / snacks in each day. Food prices were very reasonable in the neighborhood, so we didn't feel compelled to eat in for the other meals. We liked O'Che's, an Irish pub just up the block on Lilova... Mira was very responsive when we asked to turn down the heat or provide an ethernet cable for the internet (we had WIFI issues with our PC). He was prompt with the checkout and even drove us to the airport.... Highly recommended... you will love Prague !!

Wonderful place to stay, great location

The apartment was a perfect home away from home. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and had all the amenities you need (including a washer and dryer) and the living room had several very comfortable couches. We didn't use the kitchen but it was very complete for home cooking. The location can't be beat! You are in the Old Town and sit on a cute cobble stone small street. We checked it out on google maps street view first. You have 4 cafes and restaurant within 30 feet of your front door. Also, the manager was fantastic! He helped us get oriented, was very responsive to emails, and when the hot water heater broke he had it fixed within a few hours of sending him an email. It was a great trip!
