Overall, we enjoyed the condo and the area. A very pleasant and beautiful spot and cozy condo. Short walk to Driftwood Beach, and hiking trails. Since we stayed for five weeks we bought an annual parking pass for 100 rather than 10 daily parking. Was a relatively short drive to Brunswick to pick up whatever we needed. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. When we first arrived (Saturday at about 4:15), after an 8 hour drive, we had to do a lot of running around because the door key didn't work. After asking us if we were using the key properly Tommy told us to go to the front desk to get a new keycard made. That key didn't work either. We called Tommy back and he said he would contact maintenance. In a while maintenance came to let us into the condo. They observed that his keycards should have been recharged some time ago, but that they could not do so until the following Tuesday. Calling Tommy back, he suggested we exit through the patio door and not lock it when we left until Tuesday. Was our only option so we did that, keeping valuables in the car until then. Those first few days, we also had to clean up bits of broken glass that we kept stepping in on the main floor - luckily not sharp though. We repaired the patio door screen that was downstairs (none upstairs), wiped some footprints(!) off the walls and re-cleaned the upstairs so we were comfortable. Maintenance showed up on Tuesday morning and fixed the keys in a couple of minutes. Maintenance people wer
We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very nice and communication was good. We loved the quiet location and having no one above us. Our overall stay was pleasant, a few things we didn't love. The water pressure in the condo was low and refrigerator was loud at times. The stairwell floor was a bit dirty and the kitchen isn't accommodating for those interested in cooking. However it is still a nice condo with a great location.
Perfect trip. Had kitchen to make dinner. Lots of things to do and see.. beautiful views. Super easy check-in. Owners kept in touch to make sure we were settled.
We loved the island. The place was clean and right on the ocean. Quick beach walk to driftwood beach. The owner checked in on us by text to make sure everything was good and we had everything we needed. Very nice owner.
Prime location, clean and cozy accommodations.
My arrival was scheduled the day after Hurricane Helene tracked thru the region and there was a power outage. Thomas Pickren's text communication was exemplary. He provided me regular updates and allowed me to check-in a day later and out a day later after power was restored.

Our stay here was amazing! The property owner has done an amazing job maintaining and renovating the condo. It was very clean and up to date. All appliances and everything worked as expected. We had zero issues. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space for our family of 5. The owner was communicative from day one and we had all the information we needed to check in well before hand. Zero complaints, we would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again!
From the start, everything went smoothly. Shortly after booking, the owner reached out to me to provide info about the townhouse and the island. The townhouse was recently remodeled and was very nice. There is a vanity in the master bedroom, which turned out to come in handy since it's a one bathroom unit. We were able to shave and brush our teeth in it, while the shower was in use.
The townhouse was very clean and well kept up.
The complex was well maintained and quiet. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but we took a look at it and it looked very nice.
The beach is small on that portion of the island, and disappears at high tide, but is usable most of the day. There is also a wide strip of sand behind the breakwall with chairs, a boardwalk, and a pavilion that you can use. We spent most of the day at the beach.
The complex borders agains Driftwood Beach, so we were able to walk there for sunrise.
I hadn't been to Jekyll Island in almost 20 years. I liked that there are now some restraunt and shopping choices on the island. I also liked that they didn't turn it into another St. Simons Island. Jekyll is still very quiet and much of the island is natural beauty.
Overall, we were very happy with the townhouse, complex, and location. We would definatly stay there again.
We have always tried to vacation somewhere different every year. This year, we chose to stay on Jekyll Island. The condo was clean, had a balcony with an ocean view, and was within walking distance of the driftwood beach. The Driftwood Bistro, located on the complex grounds, had good food as well. The island was not crowded, making it great for going to the beach.
We’ve stayed at Villas by the Sea before and this unit was perfect. Has a lovely view from the upstairs balcony. The unit was clean and well maintained. The property has nice amenities and the location is fantastic, beach is private and a short walk to driftwood beach.
This place was perfect for our needs while visiting the island. It was clean, and communication with the owner was quick and thorough(although we had to initiate to receive key code/check out instructions). No beach during high tide; no problem for us, but sharing so others are aware if you're looking for a place with beachfront. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the 2nd floor balcony - beautiful!
We had a great stay! The condo was perfect for our family, close to all local attractions, the beach and offered great on site things like the pool and on site restaurant. Our host was quick to answer questions, very helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend this property and we look forward to staying again!
We had the best trip to Jekyll Island. The check in and communication with the owner was amazing. The room was clean. The property is absolutely beautiful, with beautiful views of the ocean. We will most certainly be back! I would recommend this condo to anyone staying on Jekyll Island.
Everything was spectacular, great communication and a great location! Quiet end unit but still only a 2 minute walk to the pool or beach crossovers! We'll definitely be back!
This had nothing to do with the host. We are in our mid-late 70s. The steps are extremely steep. No grab bars at all in shower and my husband had a hard time keeping his balance. The shower floor was very slick. Since I had a back injury, I had to take sponge baths for the entire week. The villa is very private and the downstairs is easy to get to. I would suggest that a half bath be put in downstairs, maybe under the steps or something. The host was in touch with us prior to checking in, and after check out. He seemed nice, although we never met him. We also were very ill with Covid right when we arrived there and I felt rather like Rapunzel, being stuck upstairs with no food or drink. The villa had nice decor and good colors, however, no type of chests or dressers or chairs in bedrooms, so living out of a suitcase is annoying. I would recommend this to a younger couple.
