Wonderful property and location. Minturn is such an easy on/off location for Vail. Accomodations were perfect for the four of us. Owner was very responsive to our needs. Thank you for the stay
Minturn is a charming old town sitting on the Eagle River and 15 minutes west of Vail. The property is spacious, clean, comfortable. It backs onto a national forest land with a meadow, hiking trail, wildflowers and birds in profusion. Being a nature-lover, this was a perfect get-away for me and escape from Denver's heat. It was enjoyed also by my golden retriever, 6-year-old granddaughter, daughter and husband.
Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, we were unable to stay at this property. Randy went above and beyond to move our group of 8 another property of his, and everything worked out well; it was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that the checkout process was so easy. We hope to try again next summer to rent the home in Minturn, it looks great!
The place is great. Every room has its own bathroom. The house was clean and well equipped and Randy was super helpful and responsive with any questions.
The unit is in the back and there is parking for two cars: one in the garage and one directly in front of the unit. So a third car has to be parked some distance away where parking is allowed. Something to keep in mind if you have more than two cars. We really enjoyed it.
I am rating this property against three other that we stay at during our western trip…Zion Utah and Moab Utah.. this property lacked in every aspect.. virtually NO amenities…starting with no numbers on the house so wasn’t easy to find. Only when I put in the entry codes did I know we’ were at the correct location. Beds were comfortable except the basement bedroom which smelled and the carpet was very soiled… coffee maker didn’t work and one toilet kept running until we fixed it on each flush.
All in all the property for the price was not worth it. that ran untiltsouled
Beautiful 4 bedroom home less than 10 minutes from Vail
Our party of 10 (5 adults and 5 kids 11 and under) had a wonderful time in Minturn and Vail. Randy was an awesome host and very responsive. The home is immaculate, and has all you need for a quick getaway or long term stay. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and extra linen, fully equipped kitchen, and a kitchenette in the basement that was so useful. Amazing mountain views, and you can’t beat the location. We even saw deer close to the property.
The cleanliness was on point. Very clean. Location was convenient to most activities. Property manager was quick to respond to the issues we had, of which, there were several. The heat did not work on the main floor. The gas fireplace did not work when we got there. My husband had to relight the pilot light. The fireplace put out minimal heat because the flue is so large it just sucks the heat out. When we contacted the property manager, Randy, about the heat, he indicated there were space heaters available so we started plugging them in only to trip the breaker because you can only have one plugged in downstairs at a time. There were space heaters in every closet so we can only assume this has been an ongoing issue. Randy did try to appease the issues by giving us access to the down stairs accommodations which was appreciated, but we did not need the extra room. Only the master shower had hot water, the other showers were luke warm at best. 2 wash cloths in the entire place for 7 people We all had to cycle through the master shower daily. Every time we used the oven, it set off the smoke detector in the kitchen. Even during preheating. I wiped it down but it still set it off with every use. There were several light bulbs out throughout the house. The driveway is terrible. No room to turn an SUV around. We have been vacationing in Co. for over 10 years. Unfortunately, we will not be back to this place. It was a lot of money to spend for all the troubles we had.
