Had a great time. Great place near Burbon St. night time was noisy but was expected. Easy walking to everywhere in the French Quarter. Really nice tavern left out the door and 1st left and down a block. Great hamburgers and breakfast!! Communications were excellent
Cute, artsy apartment right in the French Quarter. It was everything I needed for a long weekend in the French Quarter. I would definitely stay here again!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk everywhere in the French Quarter and along Canal Street, which isn’t far. Bathroom is a bit tight and the bedrooms could use some bedside lamps and tables.
Building is in a good location (very close to Bourbon street but far enough away that it was relatively quiet at night). Apartment had everything that we needed and was clean. Just an FYI, similar to some other reviews, there are some doozy stairs in this building, which is not a surprise since it’s in a old building. But keep in mind if you are traveling with someone that has mobility issues. Host was easy to get in contact with and very responsive. We very much appreciated that as we ended up staying here for a few extra days during the “once in a generation” blizzard.
Nicely decorated. The kitchen was nice. We could have used more plates and glasses. Easy walk to the French Quarter, however, the noise and number of sirens during the night were not anticipated. We didn’t get much sleep. Not the host’s problem, just be aware.

this place is a pit
I wanted to give Lloyd the benefit of the doubt - but I see it is still avaible to rent. Very dirty, one huge cockroach. We had to leave and pay for a hotel. And honesty - you would not want 4 people in there. Not enough room. If you are a big person, can’t even sit on the toilet and have room for your feet - tub in the way. And tub/shower is just waiting for someone to slip and fall.
The shabby chic decor was warm, clean and comfortable, and the aged elegance of the home is that which only French Quarter homes uniquely provide. Just a few blocks from Bourbon street, this is a perfect location, but at the same time a negative, in that the noise of the city is intense throughout all hours of the day, from revelers to street sweepers and trash trucks, all makes sleeping here challenging. There was a rodent encounter of which the host moved us into a different unit rather quickly, of which we sincerely appreciated. All in all, a nice place to immerse in the French Quarter culture.
Beware of this property manager and any listings; he placed me at a listing that's not the same address as my booked listing. When I asked him about it, he skirted the question. There were multiple issues with the property we did stay at (all with photo proof): Insecure entry (outdoor building door had metal pried back where you could reach inside to turn deadbolt; personal unit door had degraded wood, so the only thing holding the deadbolt was literally the strike plate itself). Toilet leaking all over bathroom floor. Only entry to back bedroom was via middle bedroom, which made for an awkward stay with friends. Back bedroom also was more sunroom like (and with a missing curtain), so challenging to sleep since so unbelievably bright. Very, very loud outdoor noise all hours of the night (trash & street cleaning trucks, 24hr bar nearby, lots of drunken yelling people, etc.). And many items were just plain worn out, old, not welcoming to guests (single-ply toilet paper, coffee pot and filters but only instant coffee, a bath towel so worn it had a hole in it, degrading cabinet fixture, change filter light flashing on the fridge, etc.). Do not stay with this property manager.
Very close to everything. This is a perfect spot for New Orleans. Condo was clean and everything was amazing! Check in and check out was very simple, would 100% stay here again.
Great spot - you could get to anything around Bourbon Street or Canal or the River quickly !! Beds were super comfortable - air conditioners were awesome ! Great friendly dive bar on the corner and many choices for food!
The apartment is very charming and beautifully decorated. We did not realize it was on the second floor and that made it difficult for the two elderly family members to get in and out of. It would be ideal for the younger crowd. There are no games or books or anything extra. This was our first time staying at a place that didn't have at least a deck of cards, to pass time during rain. There was also no book showing anything about the place. We had no idea how to get internet and had to ask how to get to the outdoor area. A simple book with things like that would be great. We also had no idea what to do about checkout. Yes the host was easy to contact but who wants to spend all that time messaging again and again with questions when a simple notebook or info sheet could be posted. The pool was also something we didn't know was a part of it and it was so refreshing after a long hot day. Luckily we brought our swimsuits just because. We enjoyed our stay overall but wanted others that are going to book this place to just be aware of a few things we wished we had known. Also the overnight noise is a lot. Not so much people but trash trucks honking and motorcycles revving at all hours of the night. One last thing. We are planners and not getting the check-in info until straight up 4pm freaked us out.
Overall the stay was good. The apartment was clean. My main issue is that the ceiling fan/light in the master bedroom didnt work so we were force to sleep in the smaller bedroom/bed in order to be more comfortable since it was cooler. And would also suggest maybe putting an extra lock on the front door.
Great location and walking distance to many of our destinations! However, the Quarter does have rats and we managed to meet one! The place is older, but it served it's purpose!
