Disappointing Stay with Misleading Listing and Dishonest Host
I booked this unit for a work trip and hadn’t planned to leave a review. However, since the host posted one for me, which I can’t view until I post my own, I wanted to share my experience before time runs out.Positives: Beautifully decorated & clean.Negatives:The listing falsely advertised a spa/whirlpool/hot tub & ice maker. The BBQ grill was listed but not noted as "available upon request." Easy to fix listing.Wi-Fi password was incorrect, delaying my remote work. It was a typo on the listing & wrong info from the host. Another guest had a similar issue. Again, easy fix.AC failed & the unit hit 82F in mid-August. Too hot to work/sleep. Karen refused a credit or to let me use the empty next-door unit. She expected me to remain in the unit while the tech worked on it the following day, despite my work schedule.Thin walls between units. Next-door unit played loud music left on by the cleaning crew all day & night, disrupting my work & sleep. Karen denied it, but I caught her cleaner returning late at night to turn it off.I manage properties myself and understand that things happen, but Karen’s inconsistent communication and lack of accountability made my stay frustrating. If amenities such as a hot tub, ice maker, or BBQ grill matter to you, I’d recommend confirming their availability. While I found the timing of the host’s review a bit unexpected 7 1/2 months later, I hope my experience is not reflective of others and that future guests have a better stay.
