About this property

Lake View Cottage: Water access to Sebago Lake; Cozy winter escape

Enjoy all that Sebago Lake & Maine's Lakes Region has to offer! Our cozy cottage is just across the street from water access to Sebago Lake. Summertime and early fall offers a dock to enjoy with ability to launch kayaks and stand-up paddle board from (property includes access to two adult kayaks, stand-up paddle board, paddles and adult life jackets), swim with the family, or just to sit and appreciate the peaceful view. Enjoy a dinner or morning coffee on our oversized front porch, which offers a partial lake-view. Inside, enjoy our newly decorated living room that is centered around a propane fireplace for chilly Maine nights or winter afternoons. A loft bedroom includes a king sized, memory foam bed (new for 2023). Our kid's bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin and full mattress. Finally, a guest bedroom includes a full bed. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Washer and dryer are available in the basement.

Our home is situated on a quiet, dead-end dirt road, which is great for walking on or riding your bike. Also enjoy a spacious front and back yard, perfect for lawn games or family BBQ's (grill included). We have recently added a stone fireplace in the backyard for evening S'mores and drinks by the fire.

This home is conveniently located to many of the area's attractions. Approximately 10 minutes from the Naples causeway, 10 minutes to the beaches at Sebago Lake State Park, 6 minutes to Nason's Beach, 30 minutes to Pleasant Mountain Ski Area/Shawnee Peak for skiing and hiking. Within an hour to Portland, Scarborough Beach, Old Orchard Beach, and the White Mountains (Conway area).

Please note that in order to access the dock, you will need to walk through a short wooded pathway. We make the traverse in flip flops, but it is a rocky and uneven path. If anyone has mobility restrictions, please be advised.

Would come back

Tim was very nice and helpful! The house it’s self is very cosy and i enjoyed what it had to offer. The area it’s self is calm. The mattress is reallly nice and I’m so happy because when I’m on vacation I want to have a good night sleep! The dock is hard to get too, but we enjoyed swimming in the water. Happy with the kayaks and paddle board!

Family reunion

The house was as described. Very comfortable beds. The host was very kind and stocked it with beverages coffee etc. Not necessarily something we've experienced with other VRBOs. It was a great place.

Awesome Family Lake Vacation Destination!

Tim was an excellent host and the Sebago Lake View Cottage was the perfect destination for an amazing family vacation at the lake! The location of the house is perfect for lake access, beautiful views, as well as privacy. Other than the hum of passing boats, it’s all nature sounds - a perfect retreat. Beautiful stargazing at night, while roasting marshmallows around the fire. We enjoyed most meals outside on the front porch, soaking in the fresh air! The house is very clean and as pictured. Very comfortable and surprisingly more space than our family of four needed. The bunk beds were a big hit with our daughters! Laundry in the basement was clutch and very convenient. Everything you need - linens, towels, kitchen utensils - was provided, which made life very easy for us. Tim even provided some extra beverages, which were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. They also had a full binder of local activities and vendors to call, which made it easy to find a boat rental for the day - definitely rent one and stop at Frye Island for lunch or ice cream! But you can also enjoy the lake right from the cottage. The path down to the lake is a couple houses down, which we used to kayak, swim and float on the tube with the kids all day, all provided with the rental (2 adults/1 kids life jacket). Everything about this rental was fantastic, and Tim was quick and informative, responding to any questions we had. Highly recommend, and look forward to coming back!
