About this property
Serenity on the Trent
Guests have unanimously given their stays at our beautiful, fully appointed home a Five Star rating. Here you will find serenity and a safe haven where you can let the stresses of your busy life evaporate. Views of the river, the lush expanse of grass, majestic willow trees and light filled rooms will set the stage for your wonderful vacation. Children love catching crayfish, fishing, clambering on the rocks and playing on the lush expanse of grass. Stunning sunrises greet you every morning.
Our home is ideal for families with children.
Located on the back channel of the Trent River, our home away from home boasts magnificent sunrises and beautiful, relaxing park-like views all day long.
A long, wooded driveway leads to our lovely, red roofed home. Views of the river, gardens and stunning willow trees lead you to the glassed in porch. Three stairs takes you to the upper level which has three bedrooms, a gorgeous, newly renovated kitchen , dining room, living room and bathroom. The lower level has two bedrooms, a common area, a games room, bathroom and laundry room.
The area is famous for it's fishing, which you can do from the dock or the rocks along our 120 feet of private waterfront - it is rocky so water shoes are highly recommended. There is also a deck at the edge of the water where you can enjoy a relaxing coffee or a drink on Adirondack chairs.
You can put in the canoe or kayaks from the dock and quickly make your way to miles of open water. Lifejackets are provided in various sizes. Depending on the time of year, the river may be running too quickly for our younger guests, but for these we have sprinklers and a dingy which can be filled to make a small pool. In July and August the river is generally tranquil and warm. There are numerous other swimming options in the area - please see our Guidebook for more information on what our beautiful Trent Hills has to offer.
Guests have the use of lawn games for outdoor play. For rainy days a selection of books and games are provided with full size Ping Pong and Fooseball tables. Feel free to borrow a book from our library and tuck into a cosy chair.
