About this property

Riverfront Studio Cabin Gem

Classic Cabin is located on the edge of the Thompson River. You can't stay any closer to the river because it is no longer allowed! Feel the world around you melt away as you snuggle into your classic mountain studio cabin that has been completely renovated and improved. Sit in your completely enclosed porch and listen to the sounds of the mighty Thompson river flow right past you. Sip your morning coffee or enjoy your evening beverages on the river as you smell the fresh burning fires or BBQs around you. For not much more than the price of a hotel room, why would you pass the opportunity to feel like a true mountain person and give your loved one a Rocky Mountain experience that they will never forget. Come make a lifelong of memories at this fantastic little gem.

Located approximately 5 minutes to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park, Dun Workin is part of 13 cabins at Idlewild by the River that were the original workforce housing for the workers that built the infrastructure for the National Park. Be part of Rocky Mountain history and lore when you call this cabin your base camp for your Rocky Mountain Adventures.

We believe in the “everything included” model for your stay with us. Everything from linens, toiletries, spices and your own propane BBQ to make your stay enjoyable. Enjoy Wifi, smart Tvs and a Keurig Coffee maker. There is a community hot tub and a large shoreline for fly fishing or river recreation.

This is a new listing for us but book with confidence as we offer our love it or money-back guarantee. If upon check-in you do not like the cabin for any reason or feel that anything was misrepresented in the listing, we will give you a full refund with no questions asked.

We also own the neighboring property called River Spruce so feel free to see our reviews there. We hope you will love this gorgeous classic mountain cabin.

A return visit years later

Such a peaceful setting. Very close to the river. We sat by the river and read for hours and then when the thunderstorms came we sat in the screened in porch and continued to enjoy the river. Great location for exploring the national park and I appreciated the advanced notice of the timed entry requirements of the park. We had a maintenance problem and when I reported it they fixed it same day. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave and return to reality.
