Serenity is Heaven in Hartswell

Our stay at Serenity was heaven on earth. The beautiful home is exquisitely decorated for comfort and style. It was well stocked with everything our families needed and came with plenty to keep our children and teens busy. Mornings were spent kayaking and paddle boarding through the beautiful Moriah Harbor, and nights were spent in the pool and hot tub. Tammie and Cleo kept us well informed about our stay, and they were so accommodating and easy to work with. We’ve been coming to Exuma for 12 years and we will definitely be staying at Serenity for many more years to come.

Serenity at Moriah Harbour

We had the best time during our stay at Serenity at Moriah Harbour. Tammie was such an incredibly responsive and prepared host, always checking in to make sure our stay was going smoothly. Her local team, Cleo and Angel, were fantastic as well. The house was very well stocked (from the kitchen/pantry to the bathrooms and bedrooms) and beautifully maintained, provided the most amazing views and was the perfect place for our extended family group. We brought two toddlers and three other children and the house was very kid-friendly (supplying a pack and play and other baby/toddler items, plus kayaks and paddle boards for the older kids in our group to use to explore the surrounding areas, and the incredibly adorable bunk room). We made use of the pool and hot tub daily and also rented a boat to keep at the boat slip during our week. Tammie's recommendations for local activities and contacts were also incredibly helpful to us during our stay, and allowed us to maximize the time we got to spend exploring and adventuring in Exuma. I would highly recommend staying at Serenity House.

Wonderful vacation home!

This property was amazing from start to finish! The communication with the owner before our trip helped us plan out every detail. The home itself was beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The layout and location of the home allowed our kids, ages 11-17, to have some independence from us, whether that was watching tv in the second downstairs living room or kayaking across the harbor to explore!We had everything we needed, plus things we didn’t know we needed, for a trip that we will never forget!

Best Ever!

Everything was perfect! Tammie (the owner) made us feel like guests in her home. She answered a million questions for me before we got there and checked in with us regularly after we arrived. They were very gracious and allowed one of group to check in early. The house exceeded expectations. It's beautifully decorated and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly want already on site. We never wanted to go inside because the outside space was so inviting - shade when you want shade, sun when you want sun. This was absolutely the best VRBO I've ever stayed in!

Great Christmas Holiday

Tammie and Cleo made our stay very easy and communication was excellent. We had everything we could need and they answered any questions we had. Cleo went above and beyond helping us locate a lost suitcase. Beds and bedding comfortable and bathrooms very luxurious. We cooked many meals and hung out in the spacious main living areas. It was nice having a working hot tub as it was a little chilly on our trip. Overall 5 star experience and would definitely choose this property again.

Best week ever!

We will be back!! Serenity is everything and more than what they have in their listing. Tammie goes above and beyond to stay in touch prior to your trip and during your trip to ensure we had everything we needed before we arrived. The location in Moriah Harbor is beautiful and the house is stocked with everything we needed. An important highlight was the generator & purified water filter - the island loses power frequently and you wouldn’t know staying here. We also had fresh water to drink all week without having to go into town for jugs of water. We had kids ages 6-12 and they all had a blast.

Heaven

We have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years, but Serenity takes the cake. We felt like we were staying with a close friend in their luxury home. The property description and pictures do not do this listing justice. The home is gorgeous and well-appointed. It has everything you could ask for and is in pristine condition. With cozy blankets in each room, plush towels, and tastefully decorated living spaces, this was a truly great vacation. The pool and hot tub were heavenly too. The house was very very clean, and we can’t think of a single way to improve upon our stay. I highly recommend this home, and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts for ensuring we felt like family and going above and beyond to provide everything they could think of to give us a memorable stay.

Vacation in Paradise

All I need to say is "Ditto" to the previous reviews! Our multi-generation family had the most wonderful time at Serenity House (so aptly named). Tammy guided us along from booking on and is a fountain of great info. Her friendly, helpful manager Cleo met us and was available the few times we reached out. Serenity House is a gorgeous, comfortable house with amazing views on all levels. I love how the house is angled so we had both the sunrises and sunsets. The hot tub and pool were enjoyed by all-but I regret not using them in the early AM more often! If you do your own shopping (we luckily had our own excellent chefs), you'll find a lot of basics other guests generously left. Maybe get the minimum on your arrival. The Grandkids SUP'd and kayaked across the bay numerous times to explore. Serenity is so conveniently close to beautiful quiet beaches for lazing or snorkeling. We rented a boat to explore further, and we were lucky to have two dolphins join us for a bit. One recommendation: if you plan to get that group photo, do it early in your trip. You'll be having so much fun you'll forget to take it! -K&B

Beautiful Home in Paradise

AMAZING! Serenity is situated in Moriah Harbor which allowed us easy access by boat to many of the most beautiful, private beaches around. The home provided everything we needed from the dock(which held two 20ft boats), to the hot tub during windy evenings, stocked kitchen/baths, and panoramic views. We were able to see sea turtles, dolphins, sting rays, and starfish. Chef Gavin made us the most delicious food and Cleo had all the groceries stocked for our arrival. This home and its owner, Tammie, get five stars from all five couples on our trip. Tammie was in constant contact with me with wonderfully detailed recommendations about places to visit and things to do. She was always readily available whenever there was a question. We will definitely be back!

Family Getaway in Exuma

There aren’t enough words to describe how spectacular our trip to Serenity house was. Prior to checking in, Tammie contacted me to help us with planning and packing for our trip. Cleo met us at the grocery store and led us to the home. The house was beautiful- it had plenty of room for our party of four adults and my daughter who is 2. They even had a crib for her to sleep in! The kitchen had everything- pots, pans, even tupperware so we could bring our lunch and snacks with us during our after adventures. The even had coolers and the ice machine makes plenty of ice to pack drinks and fill up a cooler for the day. The first day we took the kayaks across the way and just waded in the calm water and looked for seashells. In the afternoon while my daughter napped, we hung out in the pool and hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful view. I would definitely recommend renting a boat! On the second day we had Drex drop off a boat right at the house. We visited the chat n chill and got conch salad and saw the stingrays. On the way home we found a private beach and relaxed and ate sandwiches. If you go the other way you can find the lazy river and find some great seashells. Tammy thought of everything and more. You definitely won’t regret booking this house!

Amazing Vacation!!!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience at Serenity!!!! The views are amazing, the house worked perfectly for our group ages 73-6. The location allowed our teenage children the freedom to explore surrounding islands, this was huge!!! Everything is beautiful, and I do mean everything!!!!! Tammie and Cleo are the perfect hosts, and went out of their way to guide and accommodate us!! If I could give 10 stars I would, thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!!! Perfect home for a perfect vacation

The home, the view, the communication…everything was perfect! The three adult couples each had their own king bed with a view and a bathroom! No detail was left untouched. The location was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding or just hanging out at the pool. It was close to some of the most amazing beaches- Tropic of Cancer, Forbes Hill and Pretty Molly. Tammie was wonderful with recommendations and DO NOT book your stay without using Vaughan B’s services. They can book your reservations, do your shopping and they make the most amazing breakfasts. This vacation was picture perfect and Serenity was the perfect home!

Luxurious Stay in the Beautiful Blues of the Bahamas

From beginning to end, our stay was fabulous. Tammie was the best help and a great communicator, helping us with what we needed both before the trip and during. The house was spotless, the kitchen was well-appointed, and we always had what we needed. The listing photos are beautiful, and the house is even better. We rented a boat and enjoyed our time on the water (watch the tide reports!). The only thing we would do differently (which Tammie warned us about ahead of time) is to bring frozen meat from the states. It's hard to get at the local markets where the boaters come in every day, but we made due. Overall, we give the house, Tammie and Cleo an 11 out of 10! Far exceeded our expectations!

Best Stay in the Exumas

Tammie and Cleo are so nice and accommodating, and made sure we had everything we could need. After booking you will get a welcome letter that is like a guide to the exumas with a lot of great information and the home which is full of amenities. Located right in Moriah cay with its own dock, beach, swimming pool, hot tub, kayaks, SUP. We were never bored or lacking anything. We stayed here as two family’s and a couple. There was plenty of space to have our own privacy but also plenty of space for all us to be together for meals and hanging out. We cooked almost all our meals at Serenity, all the cooking/baking tools are here and plenty of place settings for large groups. We loved the ice maker which is a full appliance built in to the cabinets. So we never ran out. We rented a boat and the dock made it easy to come and go. There’s also a lot of ocean life around the dock and across to the little island. The cut/ lazy river is a short boat ride away. When we’d come back from a day out the hot tub was perfect for relaxing the day off. One night we did Bubble Waffles, they came to the home and made delicious waffle cones filled with ice cream and toppings. We all agreed it’s a must do. We had a steel drummer come play for us. He set up on the top balcony and we could enjoy the music while we cooked and the kids ran around playing in the backyard. He also gave all the kids a try and was talented and kind hearted. Look no further this home is where your vacation starts.

I can only conclude that the owners are really caring people!!

We have been coming to Exuma every 6 -9 months for the past several years. We've arranged for a group of 17 business colleagues and 12 close friends on different trips otherwise we come with our family of 5. We've stayed in phenomenal houses in Tar Bay and Forbes Hill which were great but there is something really unique at Serenity. 2 reasons: 1) Moriah Harbor is a water wonderland for kids and adults and 2) the owners of the house were so thoughtful in not leaving anything out. House The house is amazing. The ceiling height gives it a feel of so much space and this isn't appreciated in the pictures. The top and entry floor were so functional with the huge kitchen island, separate dinning area and also the gathering living room where we played charades every night. The second floor is also so spacious with three different bedrooms. The owners didn't spare any expense with stocking the house with equipment, from kayas, to paddles boards, to life vest. there's also a wonderful outdoor shower and bathroom. The hot tub was especially useful for us because the temps were cooler than expected and it gets hot unlike many rental hotubs have capped heat. Even our chef who prepared amazing meals for us commented on how well equipped the was for their needs of cooking Location- this house is really special but of its location in Moriah Harbor- we jet skied, boated kayak and swam. it was an incredible experience. I could say more but there are space limits

Our favorite island paradise got even better at Serenity.

This was our fifth trip to Exuma. It is truly one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We have stayed at homes and resorts all over the island, but Serenity raised the bar so high that now we can't stay anywhere else. The home is nothing less than amazing. We felt like we were staying at a five-diamond resort, and we were. The home is beautifully decorated. The owners are great to work with. Moriah Harbor is such a beautiful place with pristine beaches just a kayak away. Each morning we would sit out on the large balcony, enjoy our coffee and plan our day. One day we launched the kayaks (provided) and paddled over to Moriah Cay. The wildlife was amazing, and the walk across the Cay to the secluded beaches was fun. The beaches themselves are pristine and secluded. We literally had them to ourselves. Another day we boated over to Chat and Chill for a fun day with the stingrays. We really didn't need to go anywhere as we were staying at our own private resort, with a beautiful pool and spa looking out over the bluest water you have ever seen. For meals we were torn between grilling at the house, cooking in the chef's kitchen or making the short drive to Georgetown for great meals at restaurants such as Exuma Yacht Club. Did I mention the snorkeling right off the shore of this property? Safe, fun and filled with sea life and adventure for all ages. We had two turtles that seemed to live there and kept us company the entire visit. We are already planning our return trip.

Beautiful villa with amazing views! Incredible beach access by kayak/boat. Book it!

We just got back from a week at Serenity, and it was everything we hoped for in a vacation. Moriah Harbor was the perfect location and Serenity was the perfect villa for our group of 10. The villa is brand new and is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and open living area had so much room, all 10 of us had plenty of space. The kitchen and large pantry area had literally everything you could think of, all new and high end. There are multiple levels of outdoor living space - two wide balconies with seating, several decks and the beach area equipped with loungers and Adirondack chairs. The pool and hot tub were lovely, the tile work is so beautiful. While we enjoyed exploring Exuma and visited multiple beaches, we all agreed we were spoiled by our location in Moriah Harbor. We rented a boat from Drex for most of the week and spent a lot of time on Moriah Cay which was 5 minutes away by boat and could also be easily reached by kayaks or paddle boards. Most of the time we had the beaches on Moriah Cay to ourselves. It was simply breathtaking. Serenity provides lots of kayaks, paddle boards and floats to enjoy the water. We saw turtles EVERY day at Serenity. It was amazing to sit on the balcony enjoying coffee in the morning and watch the turtles swim around right in front of us. We saw turtles, crabs, fish, sting rays, lizards and birds from Serenity. Owner was wonderful!

Wonderful is just the start

This home is beautiful and brand new. The owners have done an excellent job anticipating your every need and want during your stay and the home is well planned for large groups to spread out and enjoy!! The owners are very responsive and we had no issues during our stay. Having Vaughan Bowe as our butler completed the absolutely made everything better is an understatement. Reasons you need and want to plan to book Vaughan with this house are because he takes care of your planning before and during your stay, so no one has to be constantly planning for trips to the store, excursions etc. The home is on the southern end of the island so even simple runs to Georgetown can take 45 minutes, with Vaughan, you can text him any needs you have an he brings them to you so no one has to leave the vacation for needs. With large groups dining out truly can be very expensive and slow, the kitchen in this house plus the grill outside make it easy peasy to prepare meals for your entire group for much less than the cost of a dining out experience. While I do recommend you do go out and eat at the local restaurants, cooking at this house is not a burden and they do offer chef services, Vaughan will cook you breakfast, prepare your snacks and drinks for excursions and so much more. I could rave and rave about our trip but I know that we already want to come back, so if you are traveling with a large family, book this house and its services, you will not be disappointed!!

Why they chose this property

We visited the Moriah Harbour area 10 years ago for the first time and although we have visited many islands throughout the Caribbean, we knew this place was very special! The water, sandbars and views were more than we ever imagined. You will find so many beaches and have your own private paradise!

What makes this property unique

The water is beautiful in the Harbour and because it is protected by barrier islands, it is always calm enough to enjoy. Very frequently there are strong winds on the island and those staying beachside look for the safe haven of the harbour so they can enjoy boating and swimming. Moriah Harbour Cay is part of the Moriah Harbour National Park is the view from Serenity. It has a very long, walkable beach but what's best are the shallow waters that make it a safe fun adventure for kids or all ages. Most times you will be the only ones there. Cut beach (or the lazy river) and Man O War are also very close and easy to get to from the home. These are 3 of my favorite areas on the island and only accessible by water.
