About this property
Petit Est Eco Cottage in large private garden near Saint-Émilion
Come & relax in this calm space, in the renowned wine region of Saint-Émilion (just 20kms away).
Charming secluded cottage, run primarily on solar power, with fully equipped kitchen & spacious living room. Large peaceful garden full of trees, flowers & birdsong, with private terrace for outdoor dining & relaxing. Less than 1 km walk to a nature reserve with swimming lake (lifeguards present in high season) cafe, tennis, fishing and children's playground. Many local activities; horse riding, hiking trails, mountain biking, farmers' markets, gastronomy, wine-tasting, chateaux.
A charming and beautifully renovated cottage in the old stable of the house, with a large open plan living space complete with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable sitting room. A lovely double bedroom and bathroom complete the first floor and downstairs there's a large cool garden room leading onto a private terrace/patio perfect for outdoor dining.
This garden room can easily be used as an art studio or writing space and a desk or worktables can be provided should you need them. Featuring large windows and skylights throughout, this is a bright and beautiful house with views of the garden, many trees and vineyards visible in the far distance.
The bedroom can have a double bed OR twin single beds and the large double sofa bed in the main space comes with a very comfortable mattress topper. Both a cot and a single camp bed are available for younger children and babies, so the space can be adapted to best suit your needs in advance of your visit. The staircase has a permanent safety gate fitted on the ground floor, and a second gate is available for the first floor. The downstairs open plan garden room also has two single beds for older children.
Electricity and hot water supplied by solar power, so you are encouraged to use all the machines during daylight hours as much as possible.
The TV has both ethernet and wifi connection, and there is a good fibre-optic internet connection throughout the space (download 17.2 mbps, upload 36.6 at last test) . There is an orange tv decoder, and a keyboard for easier internet searches and streaming, than using only the remote control.
The kitchen is well-equipped, and the owner is on site should you need any other items not already provided. The bathroom has a bath with wall mounted shower and shower curtains. All bedlinen and brand new waffle cotton towels are provided; beach towels are available if requested but otherwise please bring your own.
