About this property

Heath Retreat Guesthouse - fishing pond, hot tub, and fire pit- family friendly!

We have 7 acres nestled into the back of a hillside at the end of our road. Very private and peaceful, there is truly a great energy around here. As you drive in you'll come around the farm and pond, and then dead end at the guesthouse. Surrounded by greenery, the pasture, and reflections from the pond... there is truly a great energy here.

You'll walk through the front porch as you enter, where there are two seating areas. You'll love having a morning or evening beverage here. It's fully enclosed, so not to worry about bugs.

We have two spacious bedrooms, both queen beds with soft linens, pillows, and plenty of cozy blankets around. There is a comfy futon couch in the master bedroom for extra sleeping if needed. The living room is spacious and comfortable with couches, chairs, and floor pillows. Perfect to all sit around and watch a movie or have a game night.

The kitchen has been updated with new countertops, sink, and appliances. Cupboards are stocked with basic coffee, tea, olive oil, spices, etc. All our furniture and decor is locally sourced from shops in Waynesville. It has a chic country feel that gives the space some warmth & luxury.

The back porch is another gorgeous spot to hang out. It has a pathway that leads up the pergola, hot tub, and fire pit. Whether you are here with family, friends, or a spouse... this space provides a great time. Fire pit area is stocked with wood, and has a grill for cooking. There is a 6 person hot tub, plenty of room for everyone! You are right next to the creek, surrounded by wooded forest and some big trees. The fireflies back here are beautiful at night.

Steps down the driveway, you have full access to the pond. There's lots of fish, some turtles, and even a couple of 6 foot carp! We have a couple of fishing rods that guests are welcome to use. Fun things for the kids! It's also a very relaxing spot, with four adirondacks, perfect place to bring your book and escape for a bit.

You can also take a walk down to our produce farm at the barn below the pond. Sean is always down there and happy to give you a show around. You are welcome to any harvest-ready produce down there- just give us a shout! We sell our veggies weekly at the farmers market in Canton. If you are around on a Thursday and want to check it out, it's from 4-7 at Sorrells Park with live music every week.

We have things like corn hole, backyard jenga, and horseshoes lying around if you feel like playing.

There is 5G high speed wifi, and lots of seating areas to work from home.

We have a travel crib and bedside bassinet available, just let me know and I'll have it ready.

Clean, Wonderful, Peaceful Retreat

I can't recommend this retreat enough. The lodging was spotless and so beautifully decorated. The location was very quiet and peaceful. I am chemically sensitive and they assured me ahead of time that they accommodated for that. This is the first vacation rental I have ever stayed in that I didn't have issues with Chemical sensitivities. They have all the bases covered. They have a perfect outdoor space you can enjoy, from games to walks or relaxing in the sun. There is a wonderful firepit. We didn't get to use it because of our schedule, but we enjoyed the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. They have a large hot tub that we didn't take advantage of either but it looked wonderful in it's nice covered area overlooking the pond. We enjoyed the screen porch to sit and watch the rain on the pond. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was large and accommodating. We enjoyed meeting the sweet family, who were our hosts, as they lived next door. They are very to themself unless you seek them out. We had no complaints and will definitely stay here again. We hated to leave!

Mama's Getaway

This place so was nice. Everything was clean and beautiful. It was so nice to relax in the hot tub even as it rained outside, then we drank our coffee by the pond. We will definitely be back!!
