We had a great stay at the dome. The views were beautiful. The accommodations were great. Our contact with the host was quick and helpful. 100% recommend and would definitely stay again!
It was nice snd isolated because nobody was staying in the other dome or cabin. Its definitely off the beaten path and as we neared some older people that live up there looked suspicious of us, but I told them as we passed, We’re staying up here.. I don’t think they’re too pumped up about more places getting built up there and more people will be invading them. That’s just the impression I got in a brief moment of interaction.
I made the assumption I would be looking at the glacier NP Mountains, but it was a different range or part of the range and it was right by us, but there’s a lot of trees. We can see they’re fixing to build some more stuff above where we were so that’s probably why the locals are appeared upset.
But the dome is really cute and nicely equipped. My favorite thing is just being able to have a flush toilet that I can walk to from my bed without going outside and that is glamping! We never did use the shower. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep the water contained and I had the same problem with the bathroom sink because it’s so small so I mostly washed my hands and face in the kitchen sink.
The kitchen is very cute and has a nice little retro refrigerator freezer that seem nice and thick so the bears can’t smell the food. Still, I put our dry snacks in the car instead of keeping them in the dome because I just don’t want any bears ripping into the tent. It’s not my first rodeo lol but maybe I’m overly cautious.
Very cool glamping experience!!!
My fiancé and I stayed here for a small weekend getaway and it was amazing! I have not a huge fan of camping, so having the feel of camping without all the hassle and chaos was just right. It was private and secluded which made the experience that much better. The view of the mountain was a great perk, and getting to sleep under the stars was the cherry on top. We will definitely recommend this to our friends!
Such a cute place!!! We really enjoyed our stay. Our dome was a perfect little place for us. We could adventure and go back to a space that was so peaceful. Our AC was being a bit tricky for us and the response was quick and management was easy to talk too.
The listing is pretty accurate, although the domes and cabin were a little closer together then I thought they would be. That didn’t cause us to hear any of the other guests.
We had a wonderful stay! Thank you for hosting us.
My girlfriend and I just recently stayed in the Peaks dome at Red Owl Retreat. I felt inclined to leave a review as it’s a fairly new property and we were pleasantly surprised. We checked in to an immaculate geodesic dome. The dome is well appointed and equipped with a kitchenette, full bathroom, shower and a queen size bed with really nice Pendleton linens. My favorite part was the panoramic window overlooking the peaks of the Bob Marshall Wilderness as well as the skylight above the bed. As the sun rose I opened the curtains on the panoramic window and shortly after spotted a Whitetail deer with a little baby fawn just steps away from the dome. Later that morning while sipping our coffee and enjoying the view we spotted a flock of wild turkeys not more than 20 feet away. However, the highlight for me was laying in our bed looking out at the night sky dotted with too many stars to count. We didn’t even need to leave the comfort of the bed for stargazing. We did step outside though and were greeted by the famed Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) which was such a treat and beyond our wildest expectations. The property has two domes and a 2-story log cabin spaced apart just enough for privacy. They can be booked individually or as a whole. The owners run a local outfitting company and specialize in fishing trips, guided hikes with llamas and horseback trips. We were able to get 10% off one of their trips which we also recommend! Hope to come back and book the lot with friends!
