5 star property! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was thought of as far as the small details and the property itself was well decorated with an open floor plan hot tub, a closet, full of toys for little ones and much more highly recommend great communication from the property owners also! We will be visiting again
As a family, we stayed at Ryan's home for a weekend of togetherness. His home was everything we had hoped it would be ~ comfortable and located on the waterfront, it was the perfect getaway. I did have a question for him when checking in and he immediately responded. We hope to return! Thanks so much, Ryan!
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house for 3 nights in late October. Traveling from NYC as a couple with a 5 year old kid. While there we even managed to visit the magnificent Niagara Falls, which is only 1.5 hrs away! The house itself was clean bright minimalistic and very spacious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I loved the white towels and white linens - you can see and smell how clean and fresh they are. Our kid loved the toy closet. We all loved the lake views from every window. The outside is pure serenity by the lake. The only noise you hear is of the squirrel, goose or the fish jumping in the water. Speaking of which , we even tried to fish off the dock and that was fun! We loved to sit by the fire and watch sunrise with a cup of freshly brewed Keurig coffeee or watch the sunset with a glass of wine. When it came time to go home, we did not want to leave, and that’s gotta be a good sign! The owner Ryan is a delightful person and was so very gracious to mail me a package with some clothes I left behind. Thank you so much!
Wonderful stay. Host was very responsive to all communications. Quiet neighborhood. Very central location in town; was able to visit family on the east and west sides quickly. Wegmans and plenty of restaurants nearby to get take out from - kitchen had plenty to work with. Parking above the cottage was convenient for guests to visit. Fish were biting the whole time. Hot tub and lake for a cold plunge allowed for some good self care - convenient and safe running trail at end of street.
We had a great visit here- nice location right on the water, very clean and as described. Appreciated the extras- coffee pods, water in the fridge and firewood. Would stay here again!
The house is beautifully situated in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the serenity of sitting by the water and watching the abundant wildlife. The house had everything we needed for our four day stay, and the hot tub was a great plus!
We really enjoyed our time here. The host was super responsive and helpful. Such a beautiful view of the water from the living room, deck, and patio areas. Already planning our next stay.
The house is wonderful! 😍 Clean and spacious with lots of little extras to make your stay special. The kitchen had just the basics for cooking, a larger skillet, pitcher, and another baking sheet would be helpful.
The owner was quick to help when we accidentally flipped the switch on the hot tub. He was very friendly and responds to messages promptly. Besides the overall quality of the home and the huge windows overlooking the bay, we also loved fishing off the dock, the hot tub, and the toy closet! Would definitely stay here again.
We had an awesome time. The location on the water was spectacular. Ryan was very responsive and had excellent advise on restaurants, hiking and how/where to rent a pontoon boat.
House is beautifully situated fright on an inlet of Irondequoit Bay, yet only 12 minutes from downtown. We stayed while attending a conference at the Strathallen. House is quiet, well-stocked with all the essentials, and was very clean. Master bedroom is a nice size. If you were traveling with a family; there are a few games, toys in the 3rd bedroom with the twin beds, a fire pit. Quiet outdoor area to sit & enjoy the Bay. We left a few items behind; our host Ryan was so very kind to mail them back out to us. He was also very responsive with questions regarding the WiFi(don’t copy & paste from the welcome email, just type in your phone settings), etc. Highly recommend and we would stay again when we are in the area.
Great location and space for two small families to get together. Kids loved the hot tub and the family of ducks that lived nearby. Adults loved the beautiful view. Only downfall was the weather.
Absolutely beautiful location and a wonderfully peaceful retreat. The host thought of everything needed for a family stay, from toys for tots to coffee and quiet spaces for adults who want to enjoy a bit of r and r by the water with a good book. The morning sun light bouncing off the water no more than a few feet from the large bay windows makes for a storybook view with one of the most picturesque live canvas we've had the pleasure to enjoy. Thank you for a great stay. We loved it!!!
This home was beautiful and clean and everything was just as pictured and described. We stayed here for a long weekend for our son’s graduation from RIT. It was a short drive to the college and to shopping, yet we felt like we were a world away at the lake. I would highly recommend this clean beautiful lake home.
We only stayed for two short days but enjoyed every minute of it. The beds were comfortable, supportive and luxuriously decorated! The two full bathrooms were well stocked with spa like towels, robes, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The livingroom was welcoming and comfy for watching tv with the family. There were board games and a closet full of toys for younger children - including a giant doll house! The kitchen was everything we needed with little extras (like oils, spices, etc) and an inviting and stylish picnic dining table. We enjoyed family dinners and more. We haven’t even stepped outside yet to the Adirondack chairs looking out onto the bay of Lake Ontario! With firepit and a glorious hot tub on the deck! We cannot wait to come back!
Love it, even at Christmas time when it's cold (ps., can we get some snow next time?!). It was so serene. The house is just perfect, and all the little details of a spa like feeling is truly appreciated. We all hope to return during summer weather one day.
Great house on the water in Rochester! We loved exploring the Rochester area so much that we would return here again. The house was as listed and we enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. The host was very responsive and we appreciated the restaurant and grocery store suggestions.
My stay was a simple during the week stay. Very quiet and calm place. The house is nice and all was good. Easy to communicate with the host.
The driveway was a bit tricky to find the first time. I got there at night and it was raining . It was much more obvious during the day. Also, unless I missed something you pretty much have to back in (or out) of the driveway which wasn't a big deal for me but could be a little scary for some.
That's my only real nitpick, everything was great.
