No Sleep

The train runs around 2-3:00 a.m. every night and is about 100ft away from the house. After 4 days of being woken up, we decided to check out and go stay at a hotel for the remainer of our stay. The host refuses to refund us for the one night since the hotel is 45 minutes away. We needed two hotel rooms that accepted dogs and 45 minutes was the closes we could find. Also, the pillows are like paper. I stacked 6 on top of each other, and it didn't equal one pillow. If you value your sleep, I would not stay here again.

Wonderful stay!!

We had a wonderful stay. The lakefront view was so natural and beautiful. It was sunny the whole trip and so peaceful. We even had a special gator out back. 10/10

New Orleans getaway

The property was perfect. Their were 8 of us and it was perfect size and comfortable for everyone. Loved the openess of kitchen and living room. The patio was very nice.

Nice home- but too close to train tracks. Loud trains blasting horns, shakes the house.

House is nice, we arrived and place had not been cleaned. The host rectified that, had cleaned within 2 hours. Problem 2 days later with water heater, host had repair done within an hour. Overall house was nice, but had I known it was right next to the train tracks and the horns blasted so much I would have chosen a different property.

Great stay!

We loved everything about this house! The property was beautiful with amazing views. We even saw a gator. The house itself was great and location was good for visiting New Orleans. The only complaint I have was the pillows. They were very thin. The bed itself was comfortable. I would also suggest more and updated patio furniture and a grill. It's a beautiful deck and could be more inviting. If we are in the area again i would stay again and will recommend to friends who travel.

Fabulous house!!

The house was absolutely fabulous!! Even bigger than we expected thought from the pics and descriptions!!!! The deck was huge!!! Absolutely wonderful!! Only issue was the train that went thru at all hours literally feet away from the house. Other than that we loved it there!!!

It was amazing! Beautiful view of the lake.

We had a great stay! The home is beautiful and the deck is great for entertaining. The host is responsive and provided all necessary information. I would rent it again for sure!

Quiet retreat

We stayed 3 nights in June. The house was very clean, spacious, and well-stocked. We loved the wrap around porch and view from the deck. It was a great quiet retreat from all of the city activities that we were also enjoying. Check in couldn't have been easier. Communication with the owner was easy. He reaponded to my questions within the hour. Thank you!

Great place for a group

The house was great and so accommodating for a large group! Plenty of space for all 10 of us with towels, dinnerware, and seating space. The view is beautiful and so relaxing! The host was so quick to respond to any questions we had.

Beautiful Spot

We absolutely loved this place. Plenty of space, super clean, and a beautiful view of the water. You can even see downtown New Orleans in the distance. Owner was always very responsive to questions. We will be booking this place again.
