We are a Chicago-based family and have a son who is 15 and a daughter who is 13. We both grew up in Michigan and we bought a house in St. Joseph to share with family and friends. We love to share our house with others - it is a 100 year-old Dutch colonial that we bought in 2021 and restored top to bottom.
Our family loves to travel and be outdoors. We also love wildlife and scuba diving.
We have a pug, Hank, who we rescued and he is part of our family!

Why they chose this property
St. Joseph is a beautiful town - our house is right in the downtown walking distance to shops, restaurants, and to Lion's Park Beach. We also love that this house is in a quiet residential area with a park just steps away! We enjoy visiting local farms and picking fresh fruit in the summer, and there are many wineries, breweries and places to experience nature (boating, tubing, hiking, etc.).
What makes this property unique
Our house is 100 year olds and has a lot of stylish character. It has been completely redone in the last year - it is filled with natural light and both the inside and outside have been tastefully cared for. Our home has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and two sunporches that can be used as dedicated workspaces with fast Wifi. The home has a large driveway and garage that can hold around 5 cars. The yard is gorgeous and large - we have a basketball hoop, lawn games and a beautiful deck and pergola. Our patio dining set fits 8 and there is a separate wicker seating area. The house also boosts a completely renovated third-floor nautical-themed bedroom and bathroom that's fun for kids or a family. Some of the amenities include new energy-efficient windows and window treatments, 2 gas log fireplaces (living room, master bedroom), refinished hardwood floors, new electrical/lighting/tropical ceiling fans, new furnace/AC, new 200 Amp electrical upgrade, new washer and dryer, modern kitchen with pots/pans/dinnerware, new Whirlpool fridge, new disposal and other new stainless steel appliances, 3 Amazon fire TVs, Simplisafe alarm system, smart thermostat, fast Wifi.
