Description:

“Sandy Toes” is the corner stone of the Boardwalk Community at Wild Dunes and at one time was the model home. It is positioned at the end of the Grand Pavilion Boardwalk commanding a spectacular view down the Isle of Palms shoreline. In fact, the island bends to the southwest at “Sandy Toes” which provides a view of the Sullivan’s Island lighthouse, the Isle of Palms pier and even the entrance of Charleston Harbor. Truly, breathtaking, each evening your family will delight in the dance of color as the sun sets toward Historic Charleston from the master bedroom oceanfront deck or living room patio of “Sandy Toes”.

From the living room oceanfront patio deck, your family will have direct access to the Grand Pavilion Sunset Swimming Pool. One of two swimming pools located oceanfront on the Boardwalk. In addition, the Grand Pavilion Boardwalk offers seasonal dining, bar service, shopping, and an ice cream shop. Steps past the swimming pool, is the Grand Pavilion beach volleyball court. Breaking waves, seashells, and sand between your toes are only a dozen steps down from “Sandy Toes”.

The Boardwalk Community was modeled closely to the historic neighborhoods in Charleston; tall homes with narrow fronts and long side porches painted with the delightful colors that can be found on the famous Rainbow Row downtown. “Sandy Toes” has four spacious bedrooms along with a lower-level kitchen, dining area and living room which all feature ocean views. The décor provides a peaceful retreat. “Sandy Toes” recent renovation includes all new bathrooms (not pictured), new kitchen, shiplap living room ceiling, bench seating in the dining room, and all stainless-steel appliances.

The master bedroom makes up the top floor of “Sandy Toes” and features a king bed, large bathroom, and an oceanfront deck. The second level features an oceanfront second master bedroom with a king bed with an updated private bath. Another bedroom on this level has two queen beds and an updated private bath. The first level has a single bedroom with two queen beds and a bath that can be accessed from both the bedroom and kitchen area.

Parking:
Two assigned parking spaces.
Two cars may park in un-assigned parking spaces on a first come basis.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella:
The Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company will provide your family two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella when you stay seven nights (March– October). These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each night by the crew at IOP Beach Chair Company.

Perfect for our family!

We enjoyed our stay at 107 Grand Paviliom. The location was nice with easy access to the pool and beach. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch off the living area. Great spot for coffee in the morning and sunshine with an ocean breeze in the afternoon 🌴

Wild Dunes - Perfect beach and poolside!

We had a fabulous week at Wild Dunes - thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations at 107 Grand Pavilion. Poolside and ocean front - how could it get any better? Beachside Vacations made everything easy - from check-in to check-out, great communications.

Great location and comfort at Wild Dunes

If you are looking for a very convenient location and relaxing time at Wild Dunes, this is it. My family of 6 had a great time, and were very comfortable in this home. The first floor bedroom was perfect for my parents, and the kids and my husband and I took the second floor. The home could have easily fit more guests comfortably. The pool access was my kids favorite part! And it’s just a quick walk to the beach. We had a few things pop up during our stay, but the property managers were very communicative and fast to respond. If you are new to Wild Dunes and Isle of Palm, this location and home won’t disappoint and is the perfect spot for a family vacation. We will be back!

Great Family Trip

We enjoyed our stay at Wild Dunes in late February. This rental has the best views/balconies and privacy of the bunch of rentals along the pools. Having access to the Wild Dunes amenities (golf, heated pool and playground) is a nice bonus. The rental itself has some mild wear and tear but overall worked great for our group (4 adults, 3 kids). I’d recommend and would book again.

Great location

We have stayed at several of the houses at the Grand Pavilion in the past few years. This is probably one of the nicest. As with all of the rentals some small updating & fixes could be done & would be nice to have TVs in all the bedrooms. Overall, a beautiful place.

Lovely home and great property manager

The home and setting are beautiful, with lots of windows overlooking the ocean. But what we particularly enjoyed was the way that the property manager, Beachside Vacations, had organized everything for easy access and enjoyment of the property. We had one minor issue, which they addressed promptly. A complete pleasure to deal with.

Really top-notch property, well maintained, great location!

We really enjoyed the property, the beach and perfect location. Cleaning was immaculate and decor beautiful. Balcony was great all day and evening! Quiet after 11:00 pm Pool is just down the steps and beach a few steps further. Access to all amenities and quite a few eating/shops facilities within walking distance. Pool has bar/snack restaurant to hang at too. Word of warning! Food and drink at this and other restaurants in the boardwalk area are REALLY expensive and not great quality. Go farther afield and explore! Morgan Creek Grill wonderful!!

So Disappointed

The reviews for this place were so great I couldn't wait to get there. WHAT A FACADE! This was the worse place I have ever stayed in. Rugs filthy, dinning room table was so sticky the napkins wouldn't come off it, vents dirty, stairs to pool almost fell down, took them two days to repair them, grand daughter got stung by a wasp at pool gate. Pictures off the wall, know furniture on deck up stairs. I'm not returning.

Fabulous vacation with one problem

Well, two problems, really. The first was the weather (cold and windy), but Wild Dunes doesn't control that. Having the heated pool, restaurant and bar just steps outside our door certainly offset the weather. The one real problem is that the house has ants. HUNDREDS of them. Bait traps were ineffective. Once we had the folks at Beachside Vacations send an exterminator, the problem subsided.

WORTH IT!

OMG!!! This house is awesome!! This accommodated my family perfectly. We had a total of 4 blended families. Each had their own bedroom/bathroom. The kitchen table had room for all of us to eat together (9 people). No one was in a twin bed. We all had room to stretch out. Walk out your back door and into relaxation of the pool or the beach. Steps can be a problem, but you will spend so much time outside or on the main level that you will only go up when the sun goes down! They will be the least of your worries. Speechless about the staff. They were so friendly and answered questions quickly. It was like they were welcoming you into their own home.

I would never rent this property again. Not kept up all. Big nails hanging on the walls. Looks like someone came in and took all the pictures down. Blinds literally fell off the Windows when trying to open them. Plumbing issues. Oven issues, refrigerator issues, filthy rugs and floors. Dining room table was so thick with buildup the paper napkins stuck to them. It was disgusting:(.

Wonderful location - very comfortable home. Was everything we expected and hoped for.

We shared the home with two other couples (family) to attend our son's wedding in Charleston. The house was big enough to accommodate us all comfortably and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to spend our leisure time with family. All of the instructions and accommodations were spelled out clearly via several e-mails leading up to our trip, for us so we knew exactly what we were doing all along the way. My one critique - there was a wedding on the lawn next to our home one evening. The two days prior to the wedding we were blocked in twice by the event company unloading supplies. The evening of the wedding, the band stopped playing promptly at 10:00 which was great, but then the event company began tearing down the structures - this was a louder, more offensive noise for those sleeping in the rooms near the lawn than the music. Also - be sure to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags and dishwashing soap if you are going to be using the facilities a lot. We ran out of all by the last day.

Family T vacation Isle of Palms May 2022

Great experience and location with amenities like pool with food bar grandstand and also the beautiful ocean as well. Privacy of a private home while amenities of a hotel almost and best of both for all. Positive reviews. Items to make the stay better and more comfortable. Need better mattresses in the bedrooms. For the price paid the mattresses should be of top quality and not cheap with thin springs. Al’s no tv in all the bedrooms and those there were of poor quality. Large family room tv was small and old and terrible cable service and picture. The internet service is lacking at best. Cannot stream sports or shows to TV to watch NHL playoffs and the Roku we brought would not support as wifi was so weak and would even drop off phones when we used a couple at a time. Top floor received no internet access. For premium location and pricing structure these need addresses. Walls had marks and stains everything else is I must say was terrific and if updates are made I would book again for next year soon. I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Everything about the house was wonderful!

House was beautiful! Though, at this time of year, the pool was too cold to really swim in and none of the boardwalk amenities were open. That was a bit disappointing. The VayK beach package was great though!

beachfront property

Beautiful property right on the beach. Great views of the ocean out of the living room and bedrooms. Really enjoyed how close we were to the beach as well as access to pool. One downfall was the last two days/nights of our trip there was a party in the courtyard right outside our home. This means, they were setting up tents, tables, and chairs all week and would block our parking in often leaving us to walk around looking for someone to move a truck. There was also music and a bunch of people (> 50) right outside our porch and master bedroom. It was difficult to relax those days when there was a band playing from 4-10pm. We contacted the management company about this, but they said there was nothing they could do for us.

Fun family vacation

The property itself was fabulous. Loved that it was steps from the pool and beach. Our only issue was the pool. It was standing room only from 8 am until closing. We never were able to get a chair or to swim. One day they closed the other pool for a private party and those people just piled into ours. They should tell you that one of the pools was not in operation. We would have chosen another place.

Lovely home right near the center of action

The home was beautiful and was right near the beach and main pools. An added bonus was being able to sit on the porch and listen to live music. The home was decently mainatained with comfortable sleeping areas. The only things I would change would be a newer stove and a few nonstick pans that were not so old.

Nice condo...great location

Of all the units in the complex, this unit offered the best view of the ocean and provided far more privacy than the others. The side porch is the best feature of this unit. The furniture on the porch was worn out and broken down but my guess is that has already been replaced since our visit. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. Each bedroom had it's own thermostat which was a very nice feature. The den furniture was adequate for 6 guests. Overall, the unit showed some wear which is to be expected but it was nice and we hope to rent the same unit again.

Amazing property with beautiful views!

Grand Pavillion is a very busy area of Wild Dunes. What we really liked about 107 was it was at the very end of the boardwalk with a nice green space next to it. Pretty house with amazing views! Lots of stairs! Long climb to the third floor bedroom...but it is worth it with a spectacular view and lovely bathroom. Would definitely stay here again. One more thing to note before you come...there are no outdoor grills allowed in Grand Pavillion. Important to know for planning purposes.
