This house is in an ideal location, close to the best hiking and skiing in the White Mountains! Walking distance to the Jackson Covered Bridge, Jackson Ski Touring trails, Wentworth Golf and beautiful Jackson waterfalls, you'll be close to outdoor activities and restaurants in the village for your enjoyment all year round. We are within 10 miles of both Attitash and Wildcat ski areas.

This well maintained home on the Ellis River features an outdoor fire pit area, screened-in porch, and wrap-around deck overlooking the Ellis River and the Covered Bridge. The main house has three bedrooms. A separate staircase leads to the studio apartment with a full bathroom, full kitchen, and a small balcony overlooking the Ellis River and the Covered Bridge. 2-car garage available.

The main house features a clean open floor plan. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen that opens to a sun/breakfast room with a garden view on one side and on the other side a large dining area with a farmers table overlooking the deck and the Ellis River.

There are 2 comfortable living rooms separated by a brick hearth.

The 1st floor bedroom has a queen bed and is located off the main living room in close proximity to a bathroom with a shower.

The large 2nd floor primary bedroom has a queen bed and a full size convertible sofa bed, connecting to a full bath. The room has large windows with views towards Mount Washington and the river.

The 3rd bedroom on the second floor is a nice cozy room with 2 twin beds across from the full bath.

The private studio apartment is accessed by a separate interior staircase. The space accommodates a queen size bed, twin sized day bed, small dining table, kitchen, full bath and balcony. This space is counted as the 4th bedroom. Together, the main house and attached apartment space offer plenty of space, privacy, and 2 full working kitchens, making it an ideal place for gatherings of friends or extended family.

Awesome house in Jackson
The house is awesome. There was 7 of us who rented for a girls winter weekend. House was perfect. Clean, well stocked, bedrooms were very comfortable and communication was great. I will definitely be back. James, thank you for everything!

Jackson Wedding Weekend
We chose this property because the house had ample space to accommodate our large extended family for a wedding in Jackson. The home is fully outfitted which allowed us to enjoy the weekend with ease. The host was very communicative and everything was as described. Being able to coordinate a later checkout made for a more relaxing end to a great weekend. The outdoor spaces were a special treat. We enjoyed the firepit area and porch views of the river and Jackson covered bridge. Gorgeous!

Perfect Spot
Jim’s house is a lovely, well-equipped and spacious home that has amazing views of the river, covered bridge and mountains. The outdoor space is beautifully landscaped. Inside, everything the kitchen area is labeled. The welcome book is filled with information and it truly answers nearly every question we could imagine. The only disappointment in our stay was the numerous spots on the carpeting—fortunately, it was the only negative part of our stay and Jim told us the flooring is next on his list. Until then, a professional carpet cleaning would improve the overall appearance. Everything else was immaculate! Communication was timely and I’d recommend this home to other guests.

The space was incredible for our needs of our family going to a wedding at the nearby inn. All of us were able to stay comfortably and it was so close to the nearby venue we could walk. We loved the view and how secluded it was from main roads. The fire pit was great for use at night and the house itself was decorated adorably!

Perfect Stay
What a fabulous stay! I stayed here from July 27-August 1, 2024. Property was exactly as advertised. Spacious, clean, and well stocked. The air conditioning worked great and was much needed as the days were hot and humid. Loved being able to hear the river below. We had 7 adults in our party, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will definately stay again on our next trip to Jackson.

Amazing vacation rental - we hope to return!
This was the best VRBO experience I have had. Property was SO CLEAN and so well equipped. Everything was clearly labeled and organized. Plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen, plenty of towels, pillows, blankets. So many nice extras (laundry, game room). Host was extremely flexible with an early check in and late check out which we so appreciated. Lots of comfortable sitting areas, so close (easy walk!) to the little Main Street and shops of Jackson. Plenty of space for a large group. My family and I would love to return in the winter! Loved it!

Property beautifully located at elevation on a river with beautiful view of covered bridge and mountains beyond. One mile from Jackson Cross Country ski trails. Sidewalk access most of the way. Well stocked kitchen with every anticipated need met. Well stocked wood pile to feed the fire. Multiple comfortable sitting areas. Child friendly accommodation. Comfortable, quiet bedrooms. Apartment over the garage worked well for a young family who needed occasional breaks. We hope to return again.

This home was absolutely PERFECT! From the communication with the host to the cleanliness of the home and the location, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Perfect Getaway
This place was perfect for our long weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. House was clean and well organized with everything you needed. Loved sitting on the screened in porch listening to the Ellis River. Close to everything yet far enough away for a peaceful vacation. Would definitely recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again. Home owner was pleasant and gave lots of locale recommendations for us.

This home is a gem
This is a very special property. We have rented here both in the summer and winter and we are not sure which season we love more. The home is perched above the Ellis River and in the summer when you open the windows the sound of the river flows through the entire house. In the winter, it is a short walk to Nestle Brook Farm where you can ice skate, take sleigh rides, and drink hot coco by an open fire. It is a short ride to all of the major ski resorts and Storyland. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. I highly recommend!

Gorgeous home with open floor plan. Perfect for relaxing and for entertaining. Wonderful sound of the river rushing by. Quiet street just past the covered bridge. We walked the 2 mile village loop every day. Screened in porch attached to wrap around deck. Beautiful furnishings and local history books. The owner stayed in touch and made us feel welcome.

This was our 4th stay at this house. It is always clean and has everything we need for an extended family stay. The house is in a wonderful location walkable to restaurants in the heart of Jackson NH. Jim is responsive to needs and the check in -check out process is very smooth. We will be back I am sure.

Excellent House
This is a great house. Located far enough away from the North Conway crowds to have a quiet retreat overlooking the Ellis River but close to NConway for shopping and other activities. Great hiking and trails were not too crowded. We had 3 generations of family from age 3-73 and it worked for all of us. Apt above garage was a great space! Jim was a great host and accommodated our requests. One of the best places we have rented and we highly recommend it. And Jackson is such a cute village and brings back fond memories of previous stays in the area.

About Us: My family is originally from Rhode Island. We have owned vacation homes in Mount Washington Valley for over 50 years. We grew up enjoying the mountains, skiing in the winter and lots of outdoor activities. A favorite time of the year is the Fall foliage season when the leaves are at their most colorful. In the warmer months, it is a pleasure to sit on the screened porch and listen to the Ellis River. You can walk on to Jackson Ski Touring trails from the house.
