We were in town for a long weekend. High school friends. The house was clean and had good appliances. It is an older home that seems to be in the process of being refurbished. The wood floors and wall moldings are lovely.
The communication with the host was outstanding. She was very responsive and kind.
Very unique in the fact that it was a very peaceful and serene home with all the property and wildlife we got to see ( wild turkeys and deer right in back yard) all while being only 2 minutes away from shopping and great food. Definitely reccomend and will be staying again!
Excellent location for our needs. We had a big weekend planned with events so we didn't get to enjoy the full outdoor offerings. lots of space in the house. The Kitchen was well stocked!
We had a son wrestling in a state wrestling tournament this weekend. We like to stay at houses instead of hotels. Was clean and comfy beds. One of the queen bedrooms wasn’t available so we had to sleep on a couch, but it was fine. Far enough from town to be comfy, but close enough to things we needed.
It looked a little shady at first since we arrived at 2am. But that's because it's on a bigger secluded property, and it was nice having a space for just me and friends.
The house was a nice, quiet place just outside of town, only minutes from restaurants and shops. The house is old and reflects that. Was generally clean, but basic. Didn't use the coffee pot because it had mold in the water reservoir and the microwave was missing the plate. House smelled of old wood, but the main living area was comfortable and clean. We were happy for the price point. Hosts were available for questions and were accommodating of requests.

Could have been better
A group of 6 adults stayed here over Easter weekend.
Pros:
- plenty of room in the house
- good location to be near Columbiana (our reason for traveling)
- Property owner is very responsive
- Dog friendly
Cons
-The house is listed as 4 bedrooms. It’s actually 3. We made it work.
- old food in all the cabinets and fridge (unsanitary)
- The house is in rough shape. Peeling wallpaper. Burnt our lightbulbs. Etc.
- The outside space is a swamp (there had been a lot of rain, that can’t be helped but FYI if you’re taking your dog!)
- one of the beds didn’t have a top sheet, just the comforter (which I assume doesn’t get washed everytime)
- dishes were dirty in the cabinets
- no toiletries provided (not a big deal, but the amenities lists that they are provided. Those who did bring some, shared). Again, we made it work.
The worst part is there was some sort of sewer issue. The entire house stunk like raw sewage the entire weekend. To the point we were nauseated and a few of us ended up with mild headaches from it. I contacted the host. She was very responsive but there was no solve. Thru text messages it became apparent they were aware of the issue (with the city) but did not alert us prior to.
Nothing was a huge deal (outside of the stench) but it all added up to a bunch of little annoyances and made for not a great stay.
