The house was just as described. The house is cute, everything was in its place, and the host was very communicative. If I am ever traveling alone again in the area, I would look to book here again!
Joy is a great host and communicator! Overall, we enjoyed our stay! One thing to note is this is an older home that has creaks and such. We stayed on a dreary November weekend, and the humidity inside the house was over 80%. The location was good, but the neighbors do have a dog that barks a lot, so sleeping in past 8 is a little difficult.
My mom and I stayed at this gorgeous property. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and you’ll have plenty of space in the back to park. There’s a gorgeous 3 season porch, WiFi and plenty of room inside to work or sit and chill.
It’s clean and a purely delightful bungalow.
I was in town for my son’s military ceremony. This was clean, comfortable and within easy distance of places to eat and the base. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with
I highly suggest this cozy little house for your stay! Host was extremely kind , fast communication, she even had a small order dropped of for us for a small need! We were in town for our son’s military graduation and stayed in the day after, watched movies, plenty of extra blankets to get cozy, memory foam kind of mattress that my husband and I both melted :) great stay!
We had an enjoyable stay. Directions on parking and access to home were very clear. Home had all expected necessities. Quiet neighborhood. Very clean. King bed comfortable. A bonus would have been a full length mirror, perhaps on the inside of a wardrobe door, but not any reason to diminish an overall cute home and comfortable stay! 5 stars!
I think one thing that people need to know before they rent this place. Is that the second bedroom is literally off the master and the only way to get to it is to go through the master. The only way to get to the bathroom is again to go through the master to get to the bathroom. I don't think it was meant to be a bedroom and it was a very strange location to have my 24-year-old stay in. It was fine, just really odd. It took me. It took a while to actually find the second bedroom I didn't even think it had one until we opened the back door and realized it was in a sunroom.
The curb appeal leaves a lot to be desired and the neighborhood initially seemed sketchy. The street was lined with trash bins and the lawn could use mowing. The gnats/mosquitos nearly ate us alive when trying to get in, but the property manager (next door) was great in helping us find the entry and in getting us in. The address should have been 14th street which was the back of the house as that is where the parking and entry are. Once inside, we were comfortable and found the place very quiet and peaceful with the exception of the normal creaks of an old house.
The bed could have been quieter. The supports creak loudly when getting in and out, but it was huge and comfortable once settled in. There were some issues, but the host graciously accepted the feedback and said they would be fixed. The place was huge for a one bedroom. They left the historic features in place while updating the lighting (really cool). The bathroom light becomes a night light at night and the bedside lamps are touch controlled.
The proximity to town was great...short drive. We ate at the Black Cow and stopped in the wine store around the corner.
Overall we had a great time.

Cute bungalow but only sleeps 1-2 people comfortably
The inside of the house was cute and decorated very nicely. However, the sleeping accommodations were not quite as described. The daybed on the converted front porch slept 1, but it was very drafty and the door there just did not seem super secure.
The queen bed was comfortable,
And the new appliances in the kitchen were nice. The kitchen flooring needs to be addressed, can feel a hole in one spot.
The doors on the screened in porch need to be replaced to prevent the stray cats in the neighborhood from getting into that area. It is also very dark in the neighborhood at night, and the cats appear to have a nice little home under the house. That needs to be addressed.
The carport should just be removed, or a new one installed that is much taller. Anyone very tall can get hurt on that thing. I am short and felt like I would hit my head.
There was a trash can in the yard that was completely full and had bugs that needs to be emptied. The recycling bin was down on the street like the neighbors, but not the trash can, and the front yard is very steep.
For longer stays need to supply more toilet paper and paper towels, or mention on the website that the renter has to supply. Ended up going to the dollar store to get more supplies after the second day.
Also put in shorter shower curtains, that was dangerous, and with nothing to grab if you start to loose your balance.
Although the house was decorated nicely inside there are some definite items to address.
