Lake Butte des Morts is a 8,581 acre, shallow freshwater lake with a maximum depth of 9 feet. The lake is known for its excellent fishing particularly for walleye, northern pike, and perch as well as boating, water skiing, and other recreational activities.
This property is professionally managed by Ruesch Management, with an office just blocks away in downtown Green Bay. We have a 24 hour emergency maintenance line if any issues should arise.
Omro is a charming, small town along the Fox River towards the southwestern side of Lake Butte des Morts.
This unit has a private entry door for contactless check-in. The door code will be sent to you at 3:00 PM on the day prior to your check-in. Early check-in may be available for an additional fee.
This cozy two-bedroom cottage has everything you need conveniently located on one level with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, dining area, living room, and bathroom. While the garage is off-limits to guests, there is ample parking in the driveway and a front row seat to the lake off the rear of the house.
Small pets are permitted at this property for an additional one-time pet rent. Guests are kindly requested to inform the host if they plan to bring pets along during their stay.
There are many taxi cabs, Uber/Lyft drivers, food/grocery delivery services and a comfortable city transit system in nearby Oshkosh for your use.
Please note that due to the varying length of stays at this property, we do not provide continuous disposable items such as soaps/detergents/cleaning chemicals, trash bags, coffee filters, spices/cooking oil, or paper products. The unit is fully furnished with linens, towels, and a fully stocked kitchen.
There is a fire pit on the property. Guests must supply their wood and the fire must be completely extinguished after each use.
The property has well water that may have an "egg" smell. While it is perfectly safe to drink and use, we recommend bringing bottled water if you are not accustomed to well water.

Please note that the permanent pier at the property was extensively damaged by winter ice and is currently unsafe for use. While we're working on a replacement, we cannot guarantee its availability during your stay. However, you're welcome to bring a boat and utilize the public boat launch nearby (as already mentioned in the listing). Please be aware that tying up a boat on the house pier won't be possible. Additionally, any photos or mentions of the pier in our listing will be removed for future guests' reference. Thank you for your understanding.
