Buck Run On Balsam Ridge is a stunning mountain retreat near Downtown Waynesville, NC. Enjoy local attractions and outdoor activities, including fly fishing, tubing and hiking. In the summer, guests can relax in the hot tub with a beautiful mountain view. The log cabin offers privacy and yard space for outdoor fun, and in the winter, cozy up and unwind by the fireplace.
 Note: Pool is CLOSED due to needed repairs as per July 2, 2024. 

This property does NOT allow pets. If pet(s) are brought in,YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $500 PET PENALTY FOR EACH UNAUTHORIZED PET, LIABLE FOR DAMAGE AND SUBJECT TO BEING ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.

This property is managed by a North Carolina Real Estate Firm.  You will receive a North Carolina Vacation Rental Agreement from our Reservation system that must be signed as part of this agreement.

Mountain getaway

My husband, friends, and I stayed for the 4th of July, and had a wonderful stay! Very clean house, great outdoor space, and super comfy beds. We would be happy to stay here again!

Beautiful Home

Loved the home so much. It was tucked away in a semi private place, which I really enjoyed. The hot tub and the porch were just wonderful during the fall of the year.

Lodging met our needs for a long stay

Lodging had a well stocked kitchen and a large common/dining area, which made it easy to prepare any kind of meals and relax over meals. Gas grill was a nice touch. Easy to control the heating system, which was nice as it was quite chilly when we visited. Outside property was nice for a quick walk, which we appreciated. Note: Has 2.5 bathrooms, not 3 as were listed when we made our reservations. Not a problem for us, since the other 2 full bathrooms were all that the 3 of us needed. Convenient to Waynesville and very easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smoky Mtn National Park. Property managers were very responsive and took care of any questions promptly and politely. Beware, that the neighborhood can be quite noisy in the evenings due to one of the neighbors having some loud motorcycles which were revved loudly for 10-15 minutes at a time and ridden around for a couple of hours most evenings until around 9:00. Wasn't peaceful sitting on the porch once that started, so we just went inside to relax.
