About this property
Secluded Log Cabin with Mountain Views. Hot Tub & 'Seasonal' Heated Pool.
Peavine is a beautifully decorated, 2300-square foot spacious 'hand-hewn' log cabin, crowning its own hilltop location within 21 acres of private woodland overlooking the stunning splendor of Pigeon Mountain with an all year round hot tub & 'SEASONAL' heated swimming pool.
A great staycation spot for anyone from the Metro Atlanta/Nashville areas and close to many hiking & bike trails including Jarrod’s Place mountainside bike park.
Upon entering the home, you encounter the aroma of the traditional hand-hewn log walls which filter throughout the cabin creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The family room/dining area has comfortable seating with a sofa and lounge chairs together with the dining facilities. A brickwork fireplace incorporates a Cast Iron Stove (Gas), where in the colder months creates a cozy, relaxing ambience.
Leading off from the dining area is the coffee lounge/kitchen which provides a relaxing space to just chill and enjoy the views of the mountains and wildlife.
Upstairs is divided by the main staircase where you will find two bedrooms, shower room, separate bathtub, W.C. and walk in closets. The third bedroom is located downstairs adjacent to the full bathroom with a twin and double bed. It is perfect for the younger ones or those who might struggle with taking the stairs.
The rear porch deck and swimming pool are accessed from the kitchen/coffee lounge. Here you can enjoy the hot tub and the 'SEASONAL' private heated swimming pool (open April through end of October. Please ask for exact dates with manager prior to booking). The 'sports style' pool provides fantastic exercise and entertainment for young and old. Alternatively, you can just simply relax and experience the feeling of well-being in the warm waters and hydrotherapy jets of the hot tub on the covered rear deck.
Be sure to walk the peaceful and private woodland trail and take in the natural wildlife from birds and butterflies to deer and wild turkeys.
For those special occasions, we offer 'Treats & Extras' that you may be interested in. This is the 4th or 5th time our 2 families have stayed at Peavine and it is consistently wonderful each time. From the complimentary s’mores to the spotless bathrooms, we are always pleased. The property manager is diligent in checking in and when we had a minor problem this trip, she responded within minutes and had someone come check things out within the hour. Can’t say enough good things!
This is our 4th girls weekend stay at Peavine and every year is more anticipated than the last. It’s a much needed weekend of relaxing, reconnecting, and recharging and it never disappoints. We hope to return for many more years.
We will be booking again. The cabin was fabulous. Met our needs and more. So many little extra touches. Kitchen very well equipped. View was beautiful. Wildlife abundant. We stayed in the pool, so much fun.
This place is amazing and we can’t wait to come back. Love the property, pool and hot tub. I highly recommend this place and all three of their properties to anyone.
My husband & enjoyed a last minute getaway to Peavine.. I am extremely picky about where I lay my head… cleanliness is a MUST! I was very pleased with the level of cleanliness, detail & personal touches … we relaxed in the pool, while the rabbits played at the edge of the tree line… highly recommend 👍
This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this particular property and the third stay for me and my husband at any Life Should Be properties. (We enjoyed a minimoon at Pinhoti!) Every time we make that turn onto our designated private drive, I am instantly refreshed as I know I am about to experience relaxation in a way that is not always afforded me. Our youngest, 9, couldn't comprehend just how quiet it is (and why) all day everyday, so Peavine is definitely the place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The pool and hot tub kept everyone entertained for hours on end each day, and we had no shortage of games, movies, books, or streaming if we wanted it. One day, we'll actually venture onto the trail onsite. Until then, we will hold dear the memories we've made thus far playing in the sun, relaxing and enjoying the views, and all the while taking advantage of the modern conveniences at this perfectly located home away from home. Oh! And the s'mores kit awaiting us upon arrival was a very nice touch! We will certainly be back!
The property is amazing would have given ( stars only issue was the beds were very uncomfortable and the showers were in a little bit of disrepair. The one shower one the second floor the door didn’t close all the way and there was visible black mold in the seams of shower. The first floor shower the head was not adjustable other than the detachable handle. Those were the minor issues if there were new/bigger beds and maybe a nicer shower the property would have been 100% in our book. Overall great stay and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay.
We have stayed at Peavine several times, and we are never disappointed. The setting is serene, the cabin is perfect, and it is the best place to unwind, relax and get away from everything!
This was our third trip to this cabin and we fall more in love with it every time. After only being home a day I have already booked another stay at one of their other cabins.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was super private, so peaceful and relaxing. We loved watching the birds and the pool and hot tub. It was a really nice getaway.
This was our second time booking this cabin for a girls weekend. We love how well appointed it is. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We enjoyed the hot tub and the local trails.
We had a wonderful weekend at this property! The cabin and property are beautiful. The small details were greatly appreciated- having fresh flowers, chocolates, and coffee in the kitchen and the pumpkin on the counter and the lovely soap in the bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed just staying right at the property! There was so much to do- walking trails, pool, hot tub, board games, corn hole, basketball and more. We found and rehid the turtle😊. We did enjoy visiting James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park and Wardlaw's Lucky Eye Q!
Definitely recommend!
The location, the house itself, the privacy, the amenities. This was hands down the perfect everything. My only regret is not staying longer. This is exactly what a relaxing escape should be.
House is beautiful, so many things to do, both inside and out. Enjoyed watching all the birds and squirrels at the feeders. My fiancé and I made so many amazing memories during our stay, we can't wait to visit again.
We enjoyed our stay again at Peavine. This time we had the whole family and they thoroughly enjoyed it as much as we did. We even found the turtle and hid it again for the next guest, a fun game that other guests had started. You have to read the guest book to understand. We will definitely plan to return again.
This was our second time to stay at this wonderful home. It is the best cabin we’ve stayed in! We all enjoyed the pool and the firepit. We used the pool to not only relax in but exercise as well. It rained a lot one night and I got a text from the pool maintenance guy and he told me that due to inclement weather he’d be there the next morning to check the chemicals. He showed up at the time he said and took care of it. That’s impressive! We’ll be back! Thanks for sharing this lovely place with all of us!
Our group of 2 small families has stayed at Peavine 3 times now and each time has been perfect. There is space for everyone to hang out inside (tables for puzzles, gaming room for the kids) and lots of beautiful, expansive outdoor space with a killer view. The pool and hot tub are always pristine and unlike many rentals, the gas grill is always clean and ready for outdoor cooking! We’ve already booked a long weekend for next year!

We are Angie & Andrew, the proud owners of Pinhoti, Peavine and Pamoon and we live in Hampshire (South Coast), England. We have three grown sons, Charlie, George and Elliott.
Why they chose this property
In 2002, we fell in love with North-West Georgia after a vacation with our three young sons. After purchasing some land shortly after our stay, we built our first home Peavine, which we started sharing with our guests in 2011. Since then, we have added Pinhoti and Pamoon in 2020. We have made wonderful friends throughout this journey, who manage and maintain our homes for us. Our now grown sons still enjoy holidays with us and have also brought their friends along too, they can never decide which home they prefer, a good excuse to come back!
What makes this property unique
The peaceful sunrises, majestic sunsets, playful hummingbirds and the stunning views are just a small part of what made us fall in love with our home. Spending time with family chatting, eating outside and just enjoying our time away from the stresses of every day life make for beautiful memories.
