The place was amazing! Clean, convenient to our location of the reception and Meg our families needs. It’s an amazing place with history and beauty. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the back patio as the weather was great. We hosted more family on Friday for dinner and everyone was amazed at the architecture and the beauty of the place. We will definitely book here again next time we are up for family. Our host was receptive and always answered promptly. I would recommend anyone to stay here!
This place is amazingly fun and different!! We had a great time staying here. My kids loved it because it was so unique. Lots of space and beautiful! Very easy to communicate with owners and any problems we had. Highly recommend!
Host is terrific with communications.
A few minor issues with the house - no bathmats, window blind in bedroom with a desk is broken, couldn't get dishwasher to start at checkout, and two ice trays isn't enough for several adults. Shower stall in first floor bathroom is tiny. Living room couch is tired.
Our stay was great. The house has so much space and the convenience of the small market across the street was very helpful. Host was very easy to communicate with throughout the reservation/stay. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful spot! We were in town for a baton competition at the Nutter Center. The loft was perfect for us. A quiet, well appointed haven to return to after a day full of competition. The hosts are readily available for any questions, and the property is well situated close to Wright Pat, the Nutter Center, and downtown. It was just the three of us and we enjoyed the expanse of the property and quiet it offered. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely look it up again when nationals returns to Fairborn.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property, it definitely enhanced the “Dayton experience”. Clearly a lot of love and sweat equity went into making this 100-year-old converted butcher shop a gem. House was meticulously maintained and well-furnished. Close to Beavercreek for shopping, movies, and dining, as well as to WPAFB Museum. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to groups visiting the Dayton area.
I first found this property in 2020, but had to cancel plans due to that year's events ... So, I was able to finally stay at this unique location this year, and found it as expected--a unique location with it's own history, in a spacious and modernized environment. Great stay in that location for my friends and me, and we have already talked about returning next year!
We really thought the property was well defined in the advertisement. We wished there was more information toward the history of the property however in general we were very happy with our stay.
We came to Dayton as a family to watch my niece play in the Final Four high school basketball tournament. I knew we needed space to spread out, that was also dog friendly. This beautiful home was it! Talk about ample space and comfort! It was absolutely perfect!
From the historic details of the home like the original brick walls and gorgeous hardwood floors, to the very large bedrooms upstairs, it was perfect for our weekend getaway. I even thought the rooms are so large, more beds for more people could definitely be added. Oh and the beds!! We all slept so comfortably and cozy in the beds!
The 1.5 baths worked perfectly for us and the fenced-in yard was perfect for our pups. All of the amenities were available like coffee machine, Kuereg machine, blender, and anything you could need, including a washer and dryer.
Talk about space! The downstairs is huge and so much room to spread out. We also loved the fireplace on the chilly nights.
The location of the home is nestled within a nice neighborhood, right across from a Market where you could run over for quick snack or drinks. We were also a few minutes from University of Dayton, some cute boutiques, and local fare. Lots to do in the area so if we ever need to come back, we will be sure to rent out this space again.
We all highly recommend!
This home met all my expectations for a short business trip and weekend retreat for my college daughter and me. It is a spacious historic home with plenty of room for the 2 of us. Tasteful décor, comfortable beds, and equipped kitchen for dining in options made the stay feel like home. Lighting was a little sparse in the master bedroom and main bathroom, which made it difficult to see well to apply make-up at night. The neighborhood market across the street had constant foot traffic. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.
The house was perfect for 6 adults. It was very clean and spacious! The check-in/check-out process could not have been easier. All amenities were provided- it was great! It’s also only about 6 minutes from UD which was important to us. We will definitely book this house again!
We really enjoyed our stay, the steps to bedroom were a bit much but expected from a beautiful old building. Easy access to highways. Clean neighbor hood. Steam shower was a treat. The patio was dirty and rose bushes need trimmed back. Fan/lights upstairs need repaired. Overall a great place to stay.
