Poorly maintained property
This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Upon arrival, we found the home in unsafe condition—there was a broken bookshelf upstairs and a hole in the wall with exposed wiring. The upstairs shower also had issues. I reached out to the host, Ken, immediately. Instead of taking the concerns seriously, he kept asking for photos and denied knowing about the damage, even though I explained I was having trouble uploading pictures.Ken eventually sent a maintenance person but never followed up. We didn’t feel safe staying there and had to leave. Fortunately, we had friends nearby who let us stay while we searched for new accommodations.I asked Ken for a refund, but he refused, claiming my concerns were invalid. He then stopped responding entirely. VRBO customer service had to open a case, and thankfully, they issued a refund—not Ken.The home was not as described and clearly hadn’t been inspected properly before our stay. The host was unhelpful, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout. Between the unsafe conditions, lack of communication, and refusal to make things right, this stay was a complete disaster. I would strongly advise others to avoid this listing and host. One star.
