We love the house, the location, and the vibe!
Modern, open, clean and very peaceful place to settle into!
The owner is responsive and helpful when needed.
Rarely do I find a home on VRBO that is nicer than the photos! Wonderful place, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor shower is awesome, as is the screened in porch.
This is our second time staying at the house and we liked it just as much as the first. Very easy to get around to beaches and nature areas we enjoy. It was perfect for our group of 5. Recommend it!
Our family of three had a great time at Rick and Sandy’s beach house. It’s a lovely home in a fantastic location with some great features, like a ‘media room’ and a screened porch/lounge. Easy access to all beaches, but very private and special. It was just the right size for us, and we were very comfortable. We hope to return!
Really lovely home with several good gathering spaces for family/friends. House is sited in a small neighborhood but feels very unto itself thanks to the surrounding trees. Very short drive to Longnook Beach or just a bit further to any of the other Truro beaches. Host was very helpful and responsive, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
We spent short of two weeks in Sandy’s house with my family of 4 and we all truly enjoyed our stay. Loved our bike rides to the beach and the farmers market. The house is surrounded with trees which makes it private and gives a sense of quietness and serenity. Close to beautiful beaches bay or ocean sides. Perfect setting and setup for us. Really loved our time.
Truro is the perfect Cape location for a quiet vacation. Easy beach access, always a parking space at the beach and your choice of the calm bay waters or ocean side with roaring surf. The beach is five driving minutes from your front door. Provincetown is ten minutes away.
This home is lovely. Clean as can be. Beautiful, comfortable furnishings and artwork. Great location. Worth every penny. Great owner.
There are terrific restaurants close by with outdoor dining. Many places for take out. Stay here.

Truro Magic
First impressions of this oasis was “WOW!” Our family of four stayed here for a week in mid-July and could not have been happier. Firstly, the house is designed and decorated beautifully. We appreciated that both our young boys had a room to themselves upstairs (along with their own bathrooom) while the master on the main floor allowed for movement while the kiddos napped or slept. (There is a beautifully appointed deck and outdoor space off the kitchen just asking for scrabble tournaments.)
Kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking utensil, pots, Tupperware’s for beach which was super helpful. The basement was an awesome place for the kids to play or watch a movie, we didn’t spend to much time down there but really appreciated the games.
Our days were filled with one of the many gorgeous beaches (our favorite was Corn Hill, perfect for littles), trips to ptown, flea markets, parks, seafood and sunset picnics.
Rick and Sandy were very accommodating with every little question especially leading up to our check in. You can tell this is a special house to them. We’d love to rent again next year if they’d have us. Many thanks to you both - such a memorable vacation for us - xx
Loved that our bedroom was on the first floor and my daughter and family were on the second floor for everyone had their own space. The basement had TV and games and perfect place for doing a puzzle. The open living room, dining room and kitchen offered a place to all be together, even when cooking!
Our favorite thing was the screened in porch! Cozy and a great place for conversation and games.

Compact, simple elegance
Three generations loved it. Bright, comfy, lots of privacy as desired. Clean, well maintained & cared for, chic design touches, great location, responsive owner. We mostly shop locally and cook in, grilling fish when possible. We immediately booked a longer stay for this season.

Comfortable, clean, and stylish
We stayed in this house twice and loved it. The house was a perfect secluded getaway but still close to the beach and the excitement of P-town. Butterfly bushes beside the house and gorgeous woods made us feel like we had really escaped to the country by the sea.
The owners were nice enough to let us bring movable gates to keep our kids safe (two staircases made me nervous). It turned out that the house was great for kids and adults alike. They could play in the living room or watch a movie in the basement t.v. room, which was nice and cool after a hot day in the sun. At night, we adults hung out in the detached screen room/lounge and listened to music while the children slept upstairs.
The kitchen, as well as the rest of the house is sunny and surprisingly spacious. We also loved that the house is “green” with bamboo floors and geothermal heating and cooling. The decor is a stylish modern cottage and felt completely comfortable.
The gorgeous beaches were 5-10 minutes away by car and P-town was close-by too. One of the many perks of this house is the helpful binder full of restaurant and other local information that the owner’s created to make a guest feel at home. I highly recommend this house!
*We actually stayed here over a year ago but the website didn't allow me to include the dates.

Awesome Vacation House!
We stayed in this great beach house with our family (six adults) for our anniversary. It was extremely comfortable and had every amenity you could want. Our family enjoys cooking and the kitchen was well stocked and roomy. Great gas grill and good size dining table. The living area is nice size with comfortable seating. There is a large game room downstairs with a comfy sofa, large screen tv, cable, and loads of dvds. There is a great speaker system and you can hear music all through the house. The living space is raised and has a relaxing view of the surrounding woods. It also has large windows allowing for great summer breezes. The patio is well laid out with seating and table space.
One of the most enjoyable features is a screened, detached porch allowing
private space that we used for napping, reading, and after dinner activities.
Bedrooms are good size and comfortable. The location is convenient to great beaches and shopping. The decor is very tasteful and contemporary. In conclusion, all aspects of this house are well thought out, and we all enjoyed our stay enormously. We can't wait to return!

Requires more than 7 days, at least sometimes
Dot was very pleasant to deal with, but after three weeks of waiting to confirm our request for reservation, we learned that the owners were not willing to rent the house for only a week. The house really looks like a wonderful property in a great location, but make sure to firm up your stay dates quickly.

About the host
Hosted by Sandy Rivlin
While we grew up in Chicago/New Jersey, we have lived in the Boston area for the past 38 years. We are a husband and wife commercial photography team and so are particularly fond of the beauty and light the Cape offers. Wellfleet and Truro are where we we have spent the most memorable summer vacations with family and friends for 25 years!
Why they chose this property
We have vacationed in this area for years and fell in love with the area. We purchased the property in 2006 and built our dream vacation house - modern, comfortable, architecturally designed, lots of light, and put all the amenities we loved in 1 house!
What makes this property unique
Our house is open and uncluttered and flooded with light. Our favorite spots: the open kitchen/living area for family dinners; the secluded quiet setting looking out to the natural landscape; the detached screen porch with overhead fan for reading, napping, wine....; the outdoor shower after the beach; the central air conditioning for those really hot days!
