Stressful stay
It was nicely decorated, but the listing description and price were for an air conditioned house, and the air conditioning barely worked. In two hours, the AC brought the temp from 82 to 81. I called the host for assistance, and they were argumentative and confusing. Said that the AC was only designed to bring the house to 75, and that they were adding another AC unit to cool it better at some point in the future. Did not offer to send someone to check it out.
Downstairs king bed was cheap and had no box spring, just two thin pieces of wood to support a king mattress. These broke the first night while my grown kids slept, scaring and waking them.
To top off the weekend, the hosts claimed we left the house with significant damage, which was untrue.
I’m left questioning Tahoe Rental Company's ethics. The ad was misleading, and for what we got, this place was overpriced. They were unhelpful to say the least. I’m truly shocked with the treatment we got at this property.
