My husband & I stayed with our son-in-law and his 2 boys. Both boys have a form of muscular dystrophy called Freidriech’s Ataxia and are in wheelchairs. They needed a weekend in nature and the cabin in Pleasant Valley fit the bill. We had to navigate a few stairs but all in all the environment was perfect. Marty, the on-site property manager, was very friendly & responsive.
This was a great little getaway! The cabin was just as described and the hosts were very responsive. The location was beautiful with lots of things to do - fishing, hiking & swimming!
What an amazingly lovely place to enjoy the mountains. After a number of years empty, the new owners are making this that place to come to enjoy the Colorado mountains. Our cabin was perched over the river that runs through the ranch property, with a walking path and great birding opportunities. I saw a fledgling American dipper! With a fire pit and plenty of wood provided, we were able to have campfires with ease. A hike up to the chapel gave a view of the surrounding peaks. The cabin is remote so plan ahead with food and other necessities. Our cabin had a kitchenette with a 2 burner hot plate and a small microwave with a propane grill outside, but there are other cabins on the property with a full kitchen, so look at the options to book the best cabin for you. The property is in the middle of substantial upgrades, so all the amenities are not up to date yet. Be prepared for a wilderness experience and come ready to enjoy the outdoors. It does not get more beautiful than this.
Rustic stay. No cell service and Wi-Fi had yet to be completed. But that gave our family the excuse to disconnect from tech and connect with each other. The creek out back was truly the best part. Hiked to the chapel. Spent time in the pool. Took a cold plunge in the creek. If you are looking to escape tech conveniences, this is it.
We stayed in town for a wedding in Boulder. We were able to check in easily and also bring our two Great Pyrenees dogs. The location was beautiful. Driving to downtown Boulder took us about 38 minutes, but the drive was gorgeous every time. Highly recommend this spot if you want to be secluded and enjoy nature while also bringing your fur family. Also the bed we slept in was so cozy!
We had an amazing stay at Marty’s cabin! The cabin itself was incredibly clean and cozy. Marty was super friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. The location was great, the cabin is situated right by a creek, and there are some nice hikes in the area as well. Overall a fantastic experience. Can't wait to return!
