So relaxing

Amazing place in a secluded quiet location. Owner was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the best and most relaxing weekend. We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful and relaxing

House was very clean and had all necessities needed. This was a great relaxing getaway from our busy everyday life. There was so many things included to enjoy and do: hiking, kayaking, hot tub, fire pit and BBQ grill. We had a great Valentine weekend. We will definitely plan to come back.

Amazing property

This property was exactly what we needed after a busy Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. Our daughter has a bakery and was super busy and we needed the quietness to rest. 21st Anniversary Trip

A Private Paradise

We had the most wonderful time staying at this property. We were able to take a short hike to the Okatoma River and swim in it, catch fish in the private pond, kayak on the private pond and soak in the hot tub after a long day of outdoor activities! We even ventured out to the General Store ( a cute little place with tons of great items, like crawfish boudin, étouffée, gumbo and anything canned you could want, as well as baked goods and cute home decor) and Sole Sisters (a cute boutique with all the girly items!). Which were both just a 10 minute drive from the property. The home itself is beautiful, new and clean. Sitting on the front porch with my coffee every morning was picturesque. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Getaway

We were just looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind. We’re not big on eating out or spending a ton of money on activities in addition to a rental. This place was perfect! It was very nice and clean and it had everything we needed to enjoy easy, quick meals on site. Rental was fully stocked with pots, pans, grill, cooking/eating utensils, coffee maker, as well as linens, towels, and paper goods. The property was very secluded but relatively close to things you may need or want should you feel like venturing out. We made a grocery run in Hattiesburg on the way in and were set for the stay. The ponds kept us occupied during most days. The outdoor living areas were really nice and well thought out. The hiking trail to the river was a little overgrown in places further down the trail so we didn’t quite make it all the way to the river but it was still fun. The owners were very quick to resolve the one little minor critter matter we encountered while there and we had no further issues. The place was also pet friendly so that made our fur baby happy that she was able to come with us. Definitely recommend staying here if you just need to get away, recharge and reset!

Vacation Getaway

We searched for a place to just decompress and forget about the world and somewhere to fish. For taking a wild shot we can say we found a diamond. So very beautiful and comfortable and secluded to insure the world to simply disappear

Perfect escape!!

This is exactly what we needed! My Husband and I LOVE coming to this cabin. This was our second trip here and we loved it even more this time than last! The cabin inside is BEAUTIFUL! The entire place is very comfortable from the mattresses to the living room furniture! Even the outdoor furniture is comfortable, I love sitting out on the porch in the morning, taking in all of the sights and sounds of the lake! We enjoyed hiking the trail to the river, that was awesome! We didn’t see as much wild life this time but the deer still made an appearance. An absolutely perfect place to relax! A beautiful secluded cabin, fishing in a private lake and hiking private trails then to wrap up everyday by relaxing in the Hot Tub! We can’t wait to return!

Just what we were looking for

My wife and I stayed here for four nights and had a very relaxing, quiet stay, except for the one visitor that showed up out of the blue to put something in the shed (thankfully we weren’t in the hot tub,ha!). Perfect place to unplug from the world and have a quiet getaway but still have luxuries like the rainfall shower in the master bath and a hot tub outside with a sound system! Will definitely go back as soon as we can!

The perfect place to stay!

In the area to attend a wedding and found the perfect place! A lovely home set in a secluded area and beautiful surroundings! Easy checkin and checkout. Relaxing and quiet! Anything and everything we needed was there! Weather was not the greatest, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the hot tub, fire pit, or kayaks on the lake. As I have family in the area, I will definitely book again … if the house is available! You can’t go wrong with booking a stay here!

This is our second vacation rental so far. Our other cabin is the River Front Cabin located just down the road. We have been hosting there since 2018 and we have had such a great time hosting everyone at that location that we wanted to share more of our beautiful property.

Why they chose this property

This spot was chosen is because in 2021 we decided to finish rebuilding the lake my late father was working on before he past in 2015. This lake was first built by his father many, many years ago and at some point it ran dry. When the lake was finished we thought this would be a great location for our second vacation rental to share with everyone.

What makes this property unique

Besides being very secluded from other neighbors, this lake is spring fed so that means the water is constantly running and never stagnates.
