This is a lovely and inviting property! The yard and porch were well kept and set up for comfort and leisure. The inside is full of fun historical knick knacks and art; as though someone had opened up a little time capsule and displayed its contents! The host is kind and professional. I felt very comfortable coming and going. While I did not get the chance to do the scavenger hunt or the tour, it really was so comforting to know that the host cared about whether or not I enjoyed my stay. One of my favorite features of this property was the curtain style. Both bedrooms had light blocking curtains that helped keep the room dim and I was able to relax and sleep in! There was a bald eagle nest that was easily visible from the yard and super cool to check out! I hope to stay here again next time I come out for a vacation!
Very quaint little house. It has lots of character with even a fun scavenger hunt to do. The outside is a nature lovers dream including a hammock. Host was very attentive. Included all the pleasures from home. Overall a nice stay.
This property is a great place to stay. The host is very accommodating. The house is very comfortable, parking is easy and we totally enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the host!!
The house was cute. I loved the screened in porch. Only thing was no door on one of the bedrooms. And you have to walk though one bedroom to get to other. But still loved it. It was me and my kids. If i was with another couple it would have been bad. The decoration were great. Thec
Shared bathroom between 2 bedrooms, 1st room no door and no privacy to kitchen. Noisy landlord upstairs. Ever see the Nick Saban VRBO commercial? "Check in is at 3pm." "It's 2:55." "Yeah. Check in us at 3pm". Roaches run across the kitchen at night, keep in mind there is no door from kitchen to 1st bedroom.
I love the amenities of the house, we had coffee and water, which was a big plus beds were super comfy and the house was clean and cozy, host Joseph was really nice and wait for us in front of the house to give us a tour he also gave us a key chain and a pin as a suvernier.
Really recommend to stay here is close to everything.
I booked this house for a few friends while visiting Daytona, but I stayed just up the road. I did tour the house with the host (Joe - who lives upstairs) and its pretty cool. Joe mentioned a scavenger hunt, but we didn't partake. It's apparent that Joe loves history, and it shows as you walk around the house.
A few things to note - the private road to the house is somewhat narrow. My F150 fit okay, but if you have a bigger or longer truck be careful. Also, the host asked that we keep the AC set above 75 as it's tied into the upstairs and can get chilly up there.
Overall, they had an enjoyable experience with the host and property.
Came to play pickleball at Pictona. 1 mile away. Very convenient. 2 story house and the rental is downstairs. 2 BR, kitchen, LR, esting area. Very clean and comfortable. Wasnt sure where to find the key but a quick csll to the owner (upstairs) took care of that. Many food options nearby
2 blocks off rt #1. Would definately stay again. Got a gold medal and 4th place finish at Pictona. :-)

My passion for the story of the United States inspired this endeavor. I am a professor of American history and I have taught for 25 years. I al also a Reenactor of revolutionary war and Civil War and many other historical characters. I am an avid paddle boarder and love the ocean, which is only a few miles away. I enjoy teaching people about American history and telling the stories that shaped our nation.
