There is lots to recommend about this property. You can leave your car in the driveway and in less than five minutes walk to Ogunquit center for shopping, restaurants, supplies; five more minutes and you're at Ogunquit beach. Rainy day during all that sunshine? Hop in your car and within 20 minutes you're at the outlets in Kittery. If you like to knit or quilt, you can stop by two independently-owned shops along the way: The Yarn Seller, in York; and Knight's Quilt Shop, in Cape Neddick. Tired of Ogunquit beach? That's impossible, but you will be a short car ride away from Wells, Kennebunkport, and York, and all of the restaurants, shops, and sites each location offers.
The house is meticulously clean, charming, homey. There's a patio deck off of the kitchen that's great for morning coffee and the paper, and dinner. While situated right on the main road, one would never know it when sitting on the back deck, or in the house. The yard has a fire pit, which was used one night to toast marshmallows. You can appreciate the history of the home, while at the same time be grateful for the air conditioning, ceiling fans, and other modern amenities.
Would recommend this property for folks who want a little bit of everything out of their stay in Maine. It's great for small families, girls' weekends, traveling with parents (as was my situation).
The owner, Jen, was great to work with. Thanks, Jen!
