Crowe cabin was worth crowing about for thanksgiving gathering with large kitchen island and dining room table - perfect for thsnksgiving. We also played thanksgiving trivia at the local feed store brewery - it was fun.
Quaint rustic cabin with all the comforts of home including a gas fireplace for chilly October evenings! We thoroughly enjoyed the property and ponds and had a blast fishing for bluegill. Our group of 9 made good use of the HUGE kitchen island where we shared meals and chatted and played card games. Close to Redbird Offroad Rec Area which was the reason for our visit! The big trailer could access the driveway from only one direction and parking was a bit tight but we made it work!
Wonderful accommodations and even more wonderful host!😎
This trip is a group of college friends that I’ve been trying to keep in touch and do a weekend together as often as possible. Due to aging and medical conditions we needed a place that has wheelchair accessibility and open concept. This property delivers on all accounts, only exception is the master bathroom shower is not fully accessible but definitely workable.
The host/owner is exceedingly helpful and guiding the total experience!!!
Will definitely keep this property in mind for future guys trips, accessible to Nashville Indiana, Brown county etc.
Small family gathering in Indiana. Super clean cabin with excellent fishing. Caught bluegill and some monster sized largemouth bass. Owner Aleta was easy to communicate with. Will stay here again.
This was such an amazing stay everything was so thoughtful, anything that we might have forgotten (pots and pans, soap, bathroom essentials) where all provided.
We wanted a short getaway from our
farm to relax. This cabin was just the place to relax and fish and hangout without worrying about our usual daily chores. The place is very quiet and caught several nice bass and bluegill. Would like to return with our family in the near future
Crowe Cabin is a gem. I like that it's been in the family for multiple generations and I hope it stays that way indefinitely.
During our stay, I did not find any evidence of any mice so I was incredibly happy about that (I've had some past experiences at other cabins - it doesn't make you feel great).
We found the supplies on hand adequate and the amenities abundant. Even if one wants to get away, there's still WiFi available just in case you have something last minute to take care of. The pond next to the cabin heightens the ambiance to 11. The forest adjacent is full of paw paw trees, which could be of interest to visitors in the fall. There are ticks, however, but that's forests for you.
A smaller con is that the cabin lacks sound proofing. You will hear almost everything happening unless in the master bedroom. This isn't so much of an issue if you're close to the people you're with. If not, prepare to be closer :) On the plus side, due to the craftsmanship/notches on the stairs, they don't creak like a standard stringer with treads.
Overall I'd happily stay again and would schedule some time with Aleta to learn about its history.
This cabin was great, our families truly enjoyed everything from the loft spaces, to the ponds outside. I would definitely recommend staying here if youre around the Bloomfield area.
Had a great time. Very comfortable. Enjoyed fishing but really wish the back pond had less growth and more shore access to be able to fish.
The Feed Store Beer Co in town was a great venue to gather and enjoy company!
We had a wonderful girls trip at this location!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! We had everything we needed and wanted plus some!!! Fishing is great right off the deck of the house!!! Nice long walk around the property to the second pond!!! We plan on visiting again as soon as possible!!!
Our family spent a long birthday weekend here. The cabin is unique, clean and so well stocked! We had everything we needed. The grounds were pretty and there was good fishing right outside the door. We would definitely visit again.
This was a lovely cabin and worked perfectly for our stay in Bloomfield for a family wedding. The cabin was very clean, cute, and obviously well-loved. It is overlooking a pond and a great place to wonder/walk as well.
Beautiful cabin inside & out. Firepit between ponds relaxing & peaceful. Pretty outdoor cat hangs out there but doesn't live there. Owners very responsive & close by if anything comes up. We're in our sixties, and 3/4 of us made it upstairs to sleep. The one of us who avoids stairs had a nice bedroom on the first floor. The deck right on the edge of the pond is a nice touch. We love to try out new places for these trips but will most likely return.
Host is very responsive. My family and I rented this cabin over Easter. Had lots of room for the kids to play and the pond located right outside the cabin is stocked with a variety of fish. Will definitely be booking another stay in the future. Thanks!
When we arrived it was very pretty land and home. The living room looks way bigger in the photos, so that was unexpected. We checked out all the rooms upon arrival. And our only negative thing to say is there were dead flies and lady bugs all over the beds and floors upstairs along with the carpet floors down stairs. The shower off of the living room had no hot water. I don’t know if the handle was messed up. We all shared one shower which slowed us down. The host was very quick to respond to messages. Other than that we had a great time. Very cozy!
Great place and location. Property manager was very quick to responded and worked with us for one of the best weekends

Why they chose this property
We like that there are no real "neighbors". This Cabin serves as an oasis from the real world and a great place to spend quality time with the ones you love. You are just a short drive from local towns and outdoor escapes.
