Quiet country retreat!
Blessed quietness! Enjoy birdwatching on a cozy back porch. The night sky is perfect for stargazing. Lycoming Creek is a short walk away and the nearby town of Trout Run is appropriately named for fishing enthusiasts. Enjoy canoeing, hiking and biking nearby or on great Rails-To-Trails bike paths in the area. Spring, summer, fall foliage, and winter beauty! We are 11 miles to Pennsylvania College of Technology and 13 miles to Lycoming College. The PA Grand Canyon (43 miles) and Corning Museum of Glass (67 miles) are easily visited on day trips. In August, you are only 16 miles from getting a front-row seat at the Little League World Series. Our basement guest suite has a private bilco door basement entry. We occupy the ground floor living area that is above the basement guest suite.

About the host
Hosted by Tom & Wanda MacAvoy
In 2013, our daughter and son-by-choice purchased the small farm where Wanda grew up, and her mom sectioned off 1.5 acres and had this modular built. We moved in with her in 2020 and built the basement living space, never expecting her to pass away so quickly (2022). What to do with this beautiful place? You can guess! 😀

If you love birds, you will enjoy the plethora of songs we hear! Having woods, water, and open fields all in this area makes it a bird paradise! (Feeding them helps too!)
