Recently renovated 1st floor guesthouse in Charleston! New bathrooms, new appliances, and modern kitchen. House is directly on the intracoastal waterway. Sit, relax and watch the majestic boats cruise by.
10 minutes to Downtown. There are plenty of restaurants (seafood, barbecue, Italian, pastries, etc.) within a 5 minute drive.

Very Comfortable

Comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and quiet in a nice, walkable neighborhood. The host was a delight and responsive to our needs. The only drawbacks are no smoke alarms in two of the bedrooms (including the master) and the views of the river are compromised by a large deck overhead with lots of supporting columns. There is no washer/dryer which isn't a problem for short stays.

Millie kicked us out and refused to reimburse our stay. The place was dirty, filled with roaches, and smelled of mold.

Don't do it!

Our family was so excited about our Vacation to Charleston and have always had excellent accommodations through VRBO until now. (1) When we arrived to the house the thermostat was turned off and the inside temp in the house was 84. We turned the AC on then unloaded our car and walked out to the backyard to look at the pass which is great. (2) While in the backyard we noticed something biting us which was fleas, yes fleas.. They were all over our legs. I called the landlord and let her know and she said that she just could not believe it. I went and purchased some insecticide and spent 2 hours spraying the yard. (3) Sunday morning between 0600-0700 the gardener arrived and was pruning and blowing off the back patio. I know this because there was no curtain on the window and I could hear him and see him from my bed. (4) Monday, we flush the toilet and sewer backs up into the shower. Landlord is called and she said that she just had this issue with the back bathroom a month ago. She said she would call Roto Rooter and they would be right over. Meanwhile we are preparing to cook steaks outside and we are overcome by fleas which are all over our legs. I call the landlord to inquire about the plumbing issue and she tells me that they will come tomorrow. I also ask about the fleas and what we can do to exterminate them and she turns irate, talks over me and tells me we can leave and she will refund us our money. We left and she never returned our calls or messages.

Relaxing Weekend in Charleston

We spent a long weekend in Charleston for my wife's birthday. This location provided a welcoming and relaxing spot for the family and was a short drive to downtown and other exciting features of Charleston. The neighborhood was quiet and provided a safe area for running each morning. After the weekend rush, Monday provide a very relaxing day just sitting by the creek and observing pelicans and dolphins making their way with the tides.

Waterfront

Very lovely house. The waterway in the backyard is wonderful…waving at passersby. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Had to contact the owner a few times for questions, and received very prompt response. Call or message on app. EASY check-in and EASY check out. Would recommend if you are needing location in west Ashley area.

We Love Charleston

This home away from home was a treat! Right on the river, we got a real taste of living in this beautiful area and it is close to the activities that are a must do. Our gracious host was very accommodating for some special needs.

Beautiful place to hang out and enjoy Charleston

This house was located on a channel, and we had the opportunity to view many of the boats going by, and even saw dolphins swimming. The hostess was very gracious and replied to our questions and communications quickly. The inside of the house was beautiful and the house was located within a short driving distance of restaurants and attractions. We had a very nice and relaxing time.

Beautiful property

This is an amazing location on the river in upscale neighborhood. It is just a few minutes from the heart of West Ashley. A short beautiful (less than 5 minute) drive to Wholefoods , Harris Teeter and the conveniences of West Ashley which is very close to downtown Charleston. It is the downstairs of a lovely home and it is 100% private. You have your own space and access from the driveway. 2 patios of your own and you are free to wander down and sit closer the river on the lower patio. Great place to watch all the boats go by. A wonderful opportunity to stay in a very special location. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. I hope to come back soon!

The ability to sit in the living room and watch the boats go by is unlike any other property. It is my favorite past time! If you sit outside the boats love to wave at you as they go by.
