What a wonderful property! Exactly as advertised! Clean, well stocked, everything you could imagine. The views were beautiful for sitting in the back porch. We highly recommend!
We recently visited your home and were absolutely astonished by the level of detail shared and the extras provided. There was something for everyone at the house. The kids all enjoyed the game room, the bath tub was like a spa visit for us, the extras for the dogs were amazing. We brought our own dog bed but there were three others located on various floors for him to enjoy. The house is located close to Stone Mountain for those who love to hike. We are already planning our next visit for the fall.
We came to visit our family local to Surry and Allegheny county. Could not have enjoyed the stay more. The hosts are exceptional and the property is better than pictured. We will be back - several times.
The Wow factor is immediate as you enter the property. Beautiful cabin surrounded by rolling farmland. Plenty of space for long walks and romps with the pups! Four generations of family enjoyed a long weekend. Something for everyone! Our last afternoon was spent around the fire pit with the kids making S'mores. Family memories that will last a lifetime.
We attended a wedding in the area and was able to stay at this beautiful home. I wish we could have spent even more time enjoying the space and property. Very peaceful and quiet space. We also loved the game room. Great communication with the host as well. Highly recommend if staying in the area.
We had such a great experience! The house was perfect...plenty of room for us all. John & Tara were excellent hosts and everything you could need was there from games, to kitchen "gadgets", to firepit blankets...they thought of everything! Loved it!
We loved the location, the property, the house. Everything was perfect. Check in was easy and the hosts really went above and beyond. It was my mothers 60th birthday and they left cookies and a card for her on arrival. We will definitely plan on coming back.
House and property were EPIC and perfect for our family trip! We had two families and a dog that all stayed comfortably in the house. Property was beautiful, rolling hills and fields that the children loved to explore and run amok. The owners were very easy to talk to and seemed to really care that we had a good time. We only got to spend a weekend, so we are looking forward to booking again when we have more time to spend.
I've stayed at a plethora of VRBO properties, but the Manor House at Saddle View Farms tops them all. The setting is quiet, restful and beautiful. The house is gorgeous with plenty of entertainment options. My favorite was to simply read my book by the fire. John's communication regarding the area was prompt, accurate, and helpful. Book it; you won't regret it.
Saddle View is everything described in the listing and much more. The Manor is very well appointed, the owners have thought of everything needed to make a stay at the Manor enjoyable and memorable. There are so many amenities, we couldn't work everything in this trip but hope to return and at least relax in the huge tub in the master and enjoy a calm evening on the back porch. The host are very responsive to text and gave lots of information in regards to the surrounding sights not only in the area but on the property as well. A fantastic stay that must be experienced to fully appreciate the Saddle View Manor.
From booking the rental until the moment we checked out, it truly was a supreme pleasure staying at this home. It was very clean and had everything we needed with lots of extras. John was so helpful and very accommodating. It was a great location as it wasn't too far from different activities we planned to do while visiting the area. I cannot say enough great things! It was plenty of room for our youth group as we come to the area to canoe/kayak every Labor Day. We will plan to stay here again.
Our stay at the Manor House of Saddle View Farms was incredible. The views were amazing and it was so peaceful. The house was so comfortable for our family of 11 and was perfect for our family reunion. The game room was a hit for young and old. John and Tara were very attentive hosts and so easy to work with. The house was impeccably clean and better stocked than any I’ve ever rented before. I highly recommend the Manor House, you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t want to leave. We spent many hours around the fire pit, telling stories and making s’mores. Thanks for making this a memorable vacation and we look forward to returning next year, if not before. The house and grounds are beautiful! The house has all you could ever want or need and more. The fully stocked and organized kitchen made cooking for my family fun and easy. Also, the two living areas gave sports lovers and movie watchers their own private space. While the game room entertained both adults and children. This was definitely the nicest VRBO we have ever visited and we plan to book again next year for our daughter’s wedding at The Shiloh in Lowgap. Only 18 minutes away!
This home was simply amazing! We are VRBO owners and users. This is the most well appointed home we have ever experienced. We are a family of 9. This home fit us well. Two dishwashers allowed us to cook for everyone. We wanted a home to revisit some old memories and make new ones. We have a VRBO box that we typically take with us but we never needed it here. The beds slept amazing. The views were breath taking. There is no light pollution. Stars are plentiful. Saddle View Farms has set a VERY HIGH standard going forward. Thank you Dickeys for sharing your fantastic home.
My 83 year old daddy LOVED the mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. He would always say “I’m a mountain man!” every fall when we visited the beach! Lol! He loved our trips to VA and NC. He would laugh and tell stories of our family and their neighbors as we rode the curvy, winding roads. We soaked up all the family history we could as we visited old home places, the family farm, and country church cemeteries. Sadly, my dad passed away just three weeks before our planned trip to The Manor at Saddle View, but my family decided to keep our reservations and honor my dad with a trip to his beloved mountains. We had the most comforting trip we could have ever hoped for. The Manor at Saddle View was absolutely breathtaking. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean, thoroughly stocked, and the six of us had more than enough room to comfortably spread out. Our ages ranged from 79 to 10 years old. We found ourselves saying over and over again, “Daddy would have loved it here”, and we talked of coming back again. What could have easily been a sad, depressing trip turned out to be a comforting, healing time together honoring my dad. We’re so thankful for John and Tara and the experience they provided us.
We were only looking for a place that could accommodate our number and our dogs for a family wedding. We had no idea how wonderful this place would be. We did not want to leave! Arriving into the community we did not know what to expect. First you are driving down a typical country road and then it opens up into a private breathtakingly beautiful countryside with the most perfect house/cabin which was so clean & beautifully decorated. And when I say they thought of everything, nothing was missed! Everything you need is there from dog bowls, dog beds to a toothbrush and even a razor if needed. All the drawers and cabinets are labeled so things were easy to find. Directions also labeled on appliances such as the fancy air fryer/toaster for easy use. We were only there for 2 nights but would have liked to have stayed longer. Like I mentioned, we were there for a wedding and had to be at the event venue during a lot of our stay. Our dogs were very comfortable as well. House has a good flow to it to accommodate a few to many occupants. We hope we can plan a longer stay and kudos to these owners!…they know how to do things right. Thank you for a memorable weekend!!
