Absolutely amazing unique trip
We were looking for something unique and safe during covid for our summer vacation we found the perfect spot. There was so much fun and adventure all three of my children ages 11-16 loved this trip. The house boat had everything you could possibly need. The dock crew was amazing in getting our belongings to the boat. So much fun fishing, exploring the cove, seal watching , bought lobsters right from the boat, swimming, sun bathing reading and playing games. We did it all. If you are looking for a fun and unique getaway this is the perfect trip.

Best Vacation in Years !!
Everything was better than Advertised. Your Dock Crew were Helpful, Friendly and Knowledgeable. Doug was very informative and great with training use of everything. The Skiff was a pleasant little Cove Touring Boat. There was a minor Problem with Charging USB Devices, Cell Phones, Computers, and iwatches. The only charger port that worked 100% was the USB port in the Berthing Area, no big deal. Recommend Bringing a Solar Charger. All Hotel Services (Appliances and Power) worked well, particularly the gas heat. Highly commendable Dock Staff (tall girl with curly hair) retrieved my wife's possessions twice from the Public Showers/Bathroom. One of those possessions was her purse (Thanks Again So Much) Overall- Very Excellent Vacation could have stayed longer. Intend to comeback next year. Wonderful Weather too. A great adventure!
We had a wonderful few days on the Nancy Lou. I would equate it to glamping with all the conveniences. The accommodations were great. The master bed was very comfortable and my kids (19, 19, and 21) said the living room beds were decent as well. I would say the full bed was a little too small for two 19-year olds to share, but for smaller kids it would be fine. The kitchen is compact but had everything I needed to cook our breakfasts and dinners. There is also a small grill to use. The fridge and freezer are small but perfect for what we needed for four days. Like everything else, the bathroom is small yet efficient. It was interesting to learn how it all worked and we had no problems with the water supply even though there were 5 adults showering. We did switch to the second tank on the last day. The electric lights all worked great too - we played many board games in the evening. The best part, though, is the roof deck. When we weren’t exploring the cove in the water bug or kayaks, we were up reading a book on the roof deck in comfy lounge chairs. Everyone at Riggs Cove was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of information on local places to visit. They even checked in on us on day 2 to make sure we had everything we needed. Finally, we did not have the best of weather but we still had an awesome time so don’t worry if your forecast isn’t perfect. We even weathered a massive overnight thunder and lightning storm with torrential rain and the Nancy Lou barely rocked.

Perfect getaway
This getaway was just the thing my husband and I needed. Everything was perfect. Jimmy was SO accommodating and helpful. He even drove by and dropped off some bug spray for us because we for got to buy some! He gave great recommendations on things to do (Beal Island - beautiful little island we kayaked over to) as well as food recommendations. Do NOT skip out on the Osprey! Thank you Nancy Lou & co for a wonderful few days!

Amazing experience!
Our first time on a houseboat and it wont be our last! Amazing location in the harbor with seals, eagles, ospreys all around, lobster boats every morning and beautiful sailboats. Jimmy helped us to our boat and gave us information about the area and assisted us with any questions/concerns we had. The boat was comfortable and had all the linens, cooking items, you could need. Didnt look as clean as I would have liked especially with covid, but I brought lysol wipes which helped. The boat came with 2 kayaks which were perfect to explore the area - our daughter loved them! The little"waterbug" boat was perfect to go back and forth from the marina and exploring the harbor. Would highly recommend this houseboat for a couple or a family of 3. No better way to fall asleep than to the gentle rocking of the boat on the waves and nothing beats waking up to an amazing sunrise and the sounds of nature. The roof deck was a great place for a nap and watching the sunset with a glass of wine. We loved every minute of it and cant wait to go back! Thank you to Jesse and Jimmy!

Worth every penny!
The Nancy Lou was by far our most unique rental. We had so much fun and the boat came with everything we needed other than our groceries and clothes. Staff was fantastic! We will definitely be back with the family as our teenage kids would have loved this.

Fantastic Experience on the water!
I have always wanted to stay on a houseboat and decided to do this for my birthday! We had a terrific time! The boat was well equipped with linens and towels dishes and cooking pots and pans. It was a thrill to wake up with water all around you! There were two kayaks on board and we throughly enjoyed paddling each day! Only regret we should have stayed a week!!!!!! Great fun and a great host Jimmy got us settled! A must experience !

Unbelievable Experience!
I don't even know where to begin! This was my husband and my first time to Maine. Since I was a little girl I have dreamt of seeing that rocky shoreline and beautiful terrain! We spent six way too short nights in Maine for our 30th anniversary and let me tell you...it did not disappoint! What a beautiful state! Three of those nights we spent on the amazing Nancy Lou! Hands down one of the best experiences of our lives! What an adventure! We love the outdoors and this boat puts you smack in the middle of it all! So much provided! The views alone were worth every penny! The boat was spotless and had everything we needed! The kayaks were so much fun and we were blessed with amazing weather! The water bug provided was not just convenient, but a blast! Seeing all the gorgeous boats was a feast for the eyes! Not something we see in East Texas for sure! A huge thanks to Jimmy at Riggs! He was so kind and extremely helpful! He went out of his way to make us feel at home. It was so cool to hear about his experiences living in Maine. He even found us fresh lobster for so cheap and brought it out to our boat! These three days on the Nancy Lou went by way too quickly! I literally cried when we left! My husband and I promised each other that we will return next summer! DO NOT HESITATE ON THIS RENTAL! Just don't snag it when we want it next year!!! Thanks Jimmy and everyone at Riggs!!

Peaceful, private getaway on the water
The Nancy Lou offers a unique Maine experience in a beautiful cover. Ample and comfortable internal space for a couple—well equipped for meal prep with a small grill, stove and oven. The roof top deck is a real plus for watching the sun come up, or go down. Was a favorite place to chill. Didn’t use the kayaks but would if a future stay was longer. The marina and staff are wonderful. Made for a lovely fall get away.

Stupendous Time!
We were so very overwhelmed and impressed with our three night stay. I can't rave enough about the service at the Marina and the condition of the Nancy Lou and the stunning setting. It has convinced me that I may have to look into buying a houseboat for retirement!!

Nancy Lou
We found heaven on earth! My family spent 5 glorious days aboard the Nancy Lou. The boat was so comfortable, the movement was calming and the scenery was spectacular. Loved seeing the seals and watching the lobster boats. We had a mild thunderstorm that didn't even bother us. We found a great "restaurant" at the end of Rt 127, 5 island lobster. Great food! not all was seafood so you had a variety. Highly recommend this houseboat for a relaxing vacation. You won't be disappointed.

"Paradise awaits you on the Nancy Lou"
If you have ever thought about combining the adventure of Huck Finn's raft with the charm of uncle jeb's fifth wheel trailer, then you are ready to head to sea with the Nancy Lou. This floating refuge has all the modern conveniences but still with an essence of camping that you might not be able to find anywhere else. All this supported by an outgoing dock staff that aims to please and can procure any manner of products and services. Be sure to ask about the "Dick Nixon" impersonation. Comfortable for two adults or a small family, there is sleeping space for 4 with the “bench bed” being only suitable for a smaller person, or child. The kitchen and bathroom accommodations are quite good and more than one might expect while moored in the tidal currents of the Maine coast. At first I was concerned about getting my sea legs but movement is never much more than gentle rocking. However, one might want to be careful on your first night on the boat. I found the undulations of the water seemed to potentiate the generally mild effects of my Negroni. The Nancy Lou also has a top-side fly deck which greatly increased your living space and offered a fine location to relax, enjoy a cigar or take a nap. Climbing up the ladder has a very nautical feel but caution is warranted to ensure solid footing when coming topside (See above Negroni reference). So, paradise awaits you on the Nancy Lou as does the DVD of the movie Jaws that we left behind, which I recommend should be shown continuously. In fact, I have to say the similarity of the eating areas of the Nancy Lou and the Orca cannot be a coincidence. However, you can ignore one of Chief Brody's recommendations.... you are not going to need a bigger boat.

Wonderful Escape!
The Nancy Lou is the tugboat we stayed. It had probably only been in use for a month. It was beautiful, super clean, wonderfully appointed with everything you'd ever need. The color and design inside was very restful and thought out. We especially enjoyed the location of it in the harbor where we could watch all the activity go by and never have to move if we didn't want to. We really enjoyed the boat that came with it and explored around the waterways. We slept like babies and woke one morning to fog and then wind the next. So fun! We enjoyed sitting up top when it was nice outside. Nancy Lou is like a wide motor home on water and was a delightful escape. Both Andrew and Melanie were very through in getting us settled and following up on any of our needs. We will totally come back when we are able. Book early as they fill quickly early. Enjoy! P.S. They supply ice each day and a cooler. You can also buy lobster from the locals as they pull the traps around the tugboat in the morning. Shop in Bath for groceries before you go down to the boat. Oh, they also had coffee on-board for you so you won't need to bring that. We only ate once at the Marina and it was good but we really hated to leave the Nancy Lou.

A Tranquil Maine Water Getaway
This was our first time renting a house boat and it will not be our last. The boat was well equipped and clean. The Robin Hood Marina staff was pleasant, professional, and helpful. We had such a positive experience we plan to vacation at the Marina next year. Thank you.
