Very nice place.

It is a little secluded and hard to get to at night if you’re not good on gravel roads. It does pass over two small creeks on the road to get to it where your car will dip into the creek so no low cars. The place was very nice overall but the floors made our socks black the first night. Other then that it was very cute and relaxing and the beds were comfy.

Weekend at the Little Dude Cabin

My husband and I booked this house for a weekend trip. First I will say that the house looks exactly as it does in the pictures. It’s spacious and well furnished home with an awesome wraparound deck and lovely outdoor space. It comes with just about every amenity that you may need including tons of plates, cups and glasses, cookware and silverware. The only appliance that I missed was a toaster.

We really loved how spacious, updated, and clean the house was, and the wraparound deck was awesome! There were plenty of dishes, silverware, and cookware available. Since it was just my husband and I, we didn’t get to try out the two guest bedrooms, but the king-size bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable to sleep on, and I really loved the electric “fireplace” in the main bedroom. The only small complaints I would have was that the lock on the bathroom door on the first floor didn’t work, the white refrigerator needed to be cleaned, and a couple of the drawers in the main bathroom needed to be cleaned as well. I would also mention that the actual road leading up to the house is pretty rough and rocky so you really need to drive slow when driving on that road. Other than that, we really loved the house and really enjoyed our stay there. I would definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a quiet but lovely vacation home.

Great cabin!

This cabin was perfect for our family of 5 including children. It was overall very clean, functional, and enjoyable. It was just the cabin feel we were looking for. We enjoyed the nice fire pit off the back deck. There were a couple electrical fireplaces that really gave the place a nice touch. The washer and dryer were updated and easy to use. There wasn’t any odd smells anywhere. We liked having two tables to eat at so the kids had their own table. The couch was comfy and reclined on the ends. The tv had a lot of channels to watch and apps such as ESPN and Disney plus we could access. The master bed was extra comfy like a tempurpedic bed, not too soft but not too hard. The black out curtains throughout the house were nice for sleeping and privacy. We walked down the dirt road, which seemed very private, and my toddler enjoyed throwing rocks in the little creeks. There was also a creek behind the cabin which was very nice and peaceful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would book again.

Perfect place to stay

My inaugural experience with Vacasa, coupled with renting a charming cabin in the woods, was nothing short of delightful. Arriving on Christmas Eve at 6 pm brought an unexpected challenge when we couldn't open the entrance door. However, the exceptional customer service from Vacasa's help center shone through, even on this festive evening. Despite the holiday, they promptly and graciously assisted us, remaining online until the issue was entirely resolved—a true testament to their commitment to guest satisfaction. To our pleasant surprise, upon entering the cabin, we were greeted by the warmth emanating from the already functioning heating system—an unexpected and appreciated touch that instantly set the tone for a cozy stay. The reality of the cabin matched the captivating pictures we had seen during the booking process. Immaculate cleanliness, flawless functionality of all amenities, and perfect overall conditions made our experience truly memorable. The size of the cabin was just right for our group of two adults and two teenagers, providing a comfortable and inviting space for all. In sum, this first encounter with Vacasa and the enchanting cabin exceeded expectations. The seamless resolution of an initial hiccup, combined with the meticulous presentation and warmth of the cabin, ensured a wonderful holiday retreat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Vacasa and this specific cabin to others, and I look forward to future stays with this exceptional service

Bring a chainsaw and drive a truck

This NOT listed by the property owner, it's listed by Vacasa of North Carolina. You drive a single-lane privately maintained dirt road to access property. There are giant piles of rock/dirt they consider "speed bumps" and potholes all over the place. You have to drive THROUGH two actively flowing creeks to get to this property. Had we taken the car instead of the truck, I would have turned around and cancelled this reservation. The grass was about 12" tall when we arrived and well over that by the time we left. It had clearly not been mowed in quite some time. There's several loose patio pavers, including all of the triangle cut ones at the edge of the patio. They slip right out from under your feet. There were piles of scrap metal scattered around the yard. Since there aren't any pictures of the "waterfront" advertised on here, it's a little stream that runs through the back yard. Interior looks exactly as pictured. Back doors were unlocked when we arrived & AC was off. There is NO central air. House was covered in a layer of dust and took hours to cool. Master mattress is extremely worn and pitted. Couches are very worn. Neighbors don't leash or fence their dogs. They were frequently in the yard. It rained, trees got hit by lightning, road flooded. The Vacasa toll free number posted on the door didn't get to a local human. I reached out to VRBO and was told to "contact owner." We left early. I didn't pay over $1,000 to clear trees out of the road and get flooded in.
